How have you set up the EQ? I’ve found that lifting the lower treble (green) by a few db has the biggest impact. It really opens up the vocals and overall perceived clarity.

Just removed the foam from my blue filters and wow! The clarity! Crazy how much they’ve opened up. I don’t know if it’s just in my head but the bass seems to hit harder and the top has so much more air. Love it.

This is a bit of a noob question, but if I bought a DAP such as the FiiO M11, which I have my eyes on, should I notice a significant improvement in sound quality over an iPhone XS using the 3.5mm adapter? Has anyone tried the M11 with the SE846? Is it a recommended combo?

This may be a dumb question but do the batteries in amps drain when the amp is left on with no music playing through it?

The ATH-ES10 is the best sounding portable IMO. It will give you the sound of a full size can on the go and it looks pretty sleek too. I'd recommend an HE-400 or HD600/650 for home use depending on your preferred sound signature.

Still waiting for my pair to come through the post. Is there any way to find out which revision I have without taking the pads off? I've heard some horror stories of pads breaking when fitting them so I'm reluctant to take them off.  

Should be getting my hands on a pair of these tomorrow, finally see what all the fuss is about with these planar magnetic 'phones. If I like what I hear then I may set my sight on some of the higher end models when funds allow.

  Did you try the ES10 with ESW11 lambskin ear pads? Comfort is greatly improved while also improving instrument separation and sound stage.   It seems like you are really enjoying the P7. I may have to get my hands on a pair to audition.

  Import - you can get them around the price of the Momentum's. If you can stretch for it you'd then get the sound of full-sized HP's on the go.    Good luck with the Amperior's though. They're very good HP's at that price.

  If you have no luck with the Amperiors then you may want to check out the Audio Technica ATH-ES10. IMO the best portable headphones available.

All I can say is that the Audio Technica ATH-ES10 headphones are criminally underrated as portable cans that sound full-sized. I don't know if it is an availability issue but people are missing out big time. 

Has anybody else noticed that the ESW11 ear pads require an increase in volume to get to the same volume level as the stocks? I guess it's due to the increased distance from the speakers, but then I get better isolation. I have to say that I tried my stocks after a good few days with the ESW11...

You may want to have a look at the Ultrasone pro 900 for EDM, though they're not really versatile.

  I agree wholeheartedly. I wanted to try these long ago but they were hard to source at a reasonable price. I had to go for an open box pair to get them at a more justified price, and I am so glad I did.
