    A question reguarding AT Headphones..

I also think that since you could potentially get the W100 shipped to the US for around $350 (that is factoring about $70 bucks shipping) or less. Its a really good deal. Its certainly one of the better headphones for under $300 USD. Just to make a comment. I have listen to quite a few of...

    Japan-only Sony MDR-Z900 -- US equivalent?

Did you look at the CD 900ST? Thats the Japan domestic equivalent to the 7506/V6. approx 15,800 yen. In general the Zx00 series (ie Z600,Z700) are pretty dismal for the price. I tried the 900 a while back and they do sound better than the cheaper (marginally) ones but for the price I think...

    JVC DX1 review.

Its been a while (at least 3 months) since I auditioned both of them. So I can't exactly describe the sound. I do remember if being richer sounding and maybe the sound stage is a little (very little) better. Maybe I will go look at them again one weekend and reevaluate them again. It was...

I have heard both. To me the DX3 does sound noticably better. It better well be to justify the price difference.

Has anyone used the the Audio Technica ATH-HA2 headphone amp?

allennokisi, Thanks for the info it was quite helpful. What do you think of the large HA50? Have you tried it? They sounded pretty good for me but of course they are a lot more expensive and really overkill since I don't need 5 jacks with 5 independent volume controls.

Has anyone used the the Audio Technica ATH-HA2 headphone amp?

The AT-HA2 is audio techicas cheapest and smallest amp ($50). It supports 2 headphones but has only one volume control. They are small enough to be protables except that they need to be plugged in. Has anyone head these amps before and what are your opnions? ** whoops posted to the wrong...

    Other AT cans?

puck, Isn't there a Yodobashi Camera or Laox near where you live? They typically have a headphone rack to let you listen to them. Yodibashi in particular generally have a great selection for you to audition. The newly opened Yodobashi in Osaka has at least 100 phones to try. (I don't know...

Sony cans only available in Japan?

Bob, If you go to japan looking for a Sony V6 or 7506 you won't find it under that name. Try looking for the 900ST. They are the domestic versions of the 7506. BTW they are not cheaper than in the states.... a pair will set you back about $115 bucks.
