Best Soundstage? Headphones for Gaming :)

43st when you said that you still prefer the HFI 780s over the A900s with dolby headphone. What was it that you liked about the 780s over the A900s? I have the A900s and although they sound pretty good with dolby headphone, I was wondering if HFI 780 would sound any better with dolby...

    The quest for soundstage!

Quote: Angled drivers do create a more speaker like headstage. The trouble is - that's exactly what Dolby Headphone does. It's designed to sound like speakers placed ideally in a 'perfect room' when using headphones with a completely neutral headstage (i.e l+r drivers at 90 degrees, just...

    Psyko Audio "5.1" Headphones

Bad news, pc amp didn't have enough juice I was unable to make a comparison, sorry. Maybe it would be better to wait for the toslink version in the future. The sound was so bad it seem to get fuzzy and distorted, so I kept turning the volume down. This thing can't be run effectively with...

    Psyko Audio "5.1" Headphones

To anyone interested, I will be getting my psyko headphones in real soon and will be posting comments about them. I will be comparing them to Dolby Headphone as well as my home theater set-up. The connection will be from the pre-outs on the back of my receiver. I don't have 5.1 soundcard but I...

Which headphone comes close to DT880? A900 or HD595

Yes amped. I am hoping to achieve a similiar soundstage as DT880 with more bass. I think A900s might come close to DT880s in soundstage. I read that they come close to CD3000s

Which headphone comes close to DT880? A900 or HD595

I'm curious to know which headphone comes closer to rendering the DT880 soundstage but with more bass. A900 or HD595 anyone? I'll be using these in comparison with my current setup with dolby headphone.

DH1 studio DH2 normal room DH3 "Wet" sounding room, like a stadium nice way to explain the difference in modes carl. DH1 is more for your top end studios set-ups to me reference room is a bad choice of words why couldn't they just kept it simple and called it the studio room instead of...

    New surround Technology for Headphones

I wish everyone could here 5.1 surround sound, the way it was meant there so many things to learn in terms of placement, and room acoustics. It's not fair to have someone pay lots of money for speakers and not get the money's worth due to impropper placement and stuff like that. There is so many...

    Review: K701 vs 2006 DT880

Has anyone compared the DT880 and K701s to the W1000? That would be a great comparison for soundstage right there. Quote: Subjectively, I'd reckon the 880 is like row 8 in a concert hall, while the 701 is like a row 15. Both have valid musical presentations, depending on your musical...

    wide soundstage?

slwiser, I am trying to find a phone that either surpasses the cd3000. I would assume that W1000 is between the HD600 and CD3000. Does anyone know if the SA3000 come close to CD3000 in soundstage? I am very dissappointed that they discontinued the CD3000s so I am basically trying to...

    wide soundstage?

when a person refers to a wide soundstage which part of width is he talking about. Wide as in more out of head and detached from the listeners position. or wide as in spread out more stereo seperation on both sides. For instance the HD600 doesn't have as wide a soundstage as DT880...

Wireless Surround Headphones - Sony, AKG, Pioneer, Philips?

I think the best possible affordable solution would be the DT880 32ohm + SU-DH1. Perfect combo that should meet up to everyones standards. If the DT880 had a lower price point I think it would be the most popular DH solution overnight. These are specifically used for low powered...

    Review: K701 vs 2006 DT880

Quote: Actually, that's *exactly* what I like listening for in my music. It makes the music more human to me. I like to hear chairs creak, noses inhale, mouths exhale, and even the paper unwrapping on a cough drop being held by some allergy-afflicted guy in Row 27. LMAO! Quote...

    your prefference: phones or speakers?

Given the right amount of amperage to boot with Dolby Headphone these would sound killer, absolutely killer!!! Of course you would need an amp to provide sufficient power to them and dolby headphone reciever as well.
