Meier Corda CLASSIC: Impressions!!
T1's are very good, IMO HD800 is the more technically proficient headphone, and superior in many regards, and rightfully so. But really the T1's are a hell of a lot more fun to listen to in just about every way , theres something about the T1 that just makes me come back to em.- Swatcsi

Quintessential Audiophile Headphone?
Even though I prefer the T1, I would have to say the HD800, a few years ago I would have said HD600, but with the HD800's microdetail retrieval it cant be topped IMO.- Swatcsi

headamp for beyer T1
If you're listening to everything I suggest going with the Classic as its neutral and should be more versatile with everything. And to top it all off the Classic was designed around the T1 headphone so its a great match.- Swatcsi

headamp for beyer T1
Quote: Corda Classic I really like with the T1 very neutral sounding and has the crossfeed feature which is useful. The M1 adds a nice punch in the low end, and really gives it a nice bassier sound, so if your looking for that I would go with the M1.- Swatcsi

headamp for beyer T1
Quote: The Burson HA-160, wasn't a good match when I heard it with the T1, so if the soloist is similar sounding I don't know how well it would fair.- Swatcsi

<$200.00 DAC with Built In Headphone Amp
In my opinion the D1 as a DAC is okay at the price of $170, but I really dislike its headphone amp, its forward sounding and just doesn't sound that dynamic, I wish I had gone with the D7, as it supposed to be a good sounding amp/dac, though I can't compare them as I've never heard it. I regret...- Swatcsi

Does the upgraded WA5/WA5-LE, have an increase in the life of the amp? I'm assuming it improves sound, but how so?- Swatcsi

Thinking of selling my LCD-2... what's next?
Quote: That sounds like a T1 to me . In all honesty though, I am vastly preferring the T1, though I find the HD800 bass to be superior and I think it is the best bass I've heard to date, but the T1 is more enjoyable since it has more impact thats needed. And since it's more musical than the...- Swatcsi

Headphones for rap and techno and a ill amp help
With the M50's yea, they do sound better with a amp+dac, but if you don't want to go portable then look at a desktop amp as they have better sound quality for the price. Though I'm one of those who think when starting out it's best to get an amp and dac combo, like the E7- Swatcsi

Headphones for rap and techno and a ill amp help
I've never heard the ultrasone; I thought the SRH750 was good for it's price, but M50 was better overall, both have great bass, but mids on the M50 I found were superior since the 750 sounded a bit artificial to me, I thought the highs were about the same though I don't remember the specifics...- Swatcsi

Mytek Stereo 192 DSD DAC/Preamp/Amplifier Thread
Great review! Looks like an interesting DAC and I hope to hear one, and it's nice to see some talk about something different than the few DAC's that everyone always seem talk about.- Swatcsi

SRH840 or Citiscape Uptown's?
Citiscape is a good phone for the price when i heard it, but the way the 840 scales up in better systems can't be matched. put it in a great rig, and it will deliver. Removable cable, and no inline mic are a plus. Though i found the 840's uncomfortable for a while until i broke in the headband...- Swatcsi

ath-m50 vs srh440 vs srh840
I've heard all 3 and I strongly prefer the 840, and still use it often, even though I have much better speakers + headphones. It depends on what you like to listen to the most, but did find the 840's to be quite detailed for their price range, and do well in all areas, highs, mids, lows...- Swatcsi
