is it your neck being weak or just the HP's uncomfortable?

my triports were my only HP's for about 2 years. they were sufficient, and only recently i had to repair the jack. they're not terrible headphones, but they were over priced quite a bit.

i'm sure they're decent headphones, but you could do better for a lesser price.

the only issue with the D2000's is i've heard they leak sound in and out. if i was listening at a moderate level (i never really go past half on my itouch with my other portables [triports ]) would the leakage be much of a problem?

yes, closed is the reason. i know that doesn't limit my choices a whole lot, that's why i made the thread to get many opinions

well, i'm sort of looking for something i can use at home through the e7/e9 combo (something to use other than my K701's once in a while) as well as at school through the e7. i'm not really looking for a "portable only" pair of headphones

just cup your hands over them a bit and you can hear the difference, it isnt very nice

maybe take them in to a hardware store and see if they have any matching screws? thats all i got, sorry. good luck though

the M50 is an upgrade, not a sidegrade. if you bought the M50's, you could spend another $80 on the Fiio E7 portable amp/dac.

from what i've read, the ATH M50 would be a good match for you.
