Did you all really never get your equipment back? That is criminal theft. You can still find his personal profile on Facebook. I would honestly file a police report or something. There are reputable sellers on etsy that do modification services.

I thought my 5+ months was bad but two years is unconscionable. I consider that straight up criminal. Its theft. I would report that to police honestly. He stole hundreds of dollars worth of equipment from you. You have his name and address.

His life is apparently not so in shambles that he can't still fairly actively post the car projects he's working on/selling. It seems increasingly clear he has scammed/stolen thousands of dollars worth of people's gear here. This is a criminal case if you ask me.

Oh I was just talking about the earlier post about the Beyer DT880 being ranked #220. I am saying it's probably not a reliable ranking.

I doubt the average long time Head-fier would say there are 219 headphones better than the Beyers. Come on now.

That's just strange. One of us had a serial number sticker. Two of us did not. Did your box have a security seal/sticker on it? Ours did not. Do you have all the all black premium edition?

  Do your headphones have a serial number sticker above the right ear cup? I received mine from Focus Camera (authorized seller according to Beyer) and they do not, although another head-fier that just bought from them does. I'm planning on returning them.

Same   Same. Just wait until iOS 8 has its music player renamed "Beats" and you can't you delete it. I'll be done with the iPhone at that point.

The "Apple products are just fashion accessories" crowd is going to love this.

  They are real leather but they were handmade by a guy that was making pads for a few different headphones and he is no longer (or not currently) making them.

  They are the J$ Beyerdynamic pads.     It's just stick-on weatherstripping from Home Depot. Check out my first post about them.
