Unit 4.0 is having lower power of 60W x 2 and VAMP is 130W x 2.   In my experience VAMP is more European / US music style, where Unit 4.0 is more on lean type sound for Japanese local favorite sound.   If you already own an iPhone 4S I seriously recommend you to use VAMP as it is perfect...
