"over-ear-floating solution" was I wrong? Would be interested in a true (as other earspeaker touching the ears) K1000 successor. Thrilled again- travis-bickle

First Watt F1 is often mentioned. I myself drive them with an Emotiva BasX A100 and am happy with it (especially with the low noise floor). But I have to say that I'm using it only in conjunction with a Realiser A8.- travis-bickle

They're speaking of parameters: "When enough of the underlying parameters of the generic HRTF are personalized, the composite HRTF dataset should be indistinguishable from a measurement of the individualized HRTF of the user." Seems to be more than just eq- travis-bickle

I'm pretty sure you are wrong. In the beginning of 2017 i've got an email from Mike stating that the electrical hardware of the A16 tracker/set-top is compatible with the A8 and they plan to release a firmware which gives the option to select the attached tracker model. Of course its been a...- travis-bickle

The price increase was a big let down for me too. Dont get me wrong. This thing is worth the money. But as an a8-user combined with the estimated retail price the saving was not big enough to have to fund it. Especially when considering shipping costs, taxes etc. That changed of course when they...- travis-bickle

soundstage and imaging is negligible because it just have to playback those of the prir. in terms of bass i've read that the more you have the driver parallel and closer to the ear canal the better the performance gets.- travis-bickle

subjective impressions for anyone interested: - SMSL SA50: great attack, rhythm, can get harsh, little bit noisy, subpar vocal performance, relatively flat soundstage, one channel dropped in one instance - Marantz PM-6006: nice build and looks, relaxed sound, subpar attack and rhytm, boring...- travis-bickle

thanks for your confirmation. in my case even with a power amp i have two volume dials in the chain. the source goes to an avr by rca multichannel output and from there to the a8. i think the only problem could be if the power amp has to much juice so theres no way to find a suitable or low...- travis-bickle
