iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread
Just have a question, I've been using the xDSD as a dedicated DAC (line-out to speaker amp) on my desktop setup. A lot of times, I leave it charging and forget to turn off the xDSD over night. So it's practically turned on and charging 24/7. Will it damage the DAC or amp of the unit in anyway? I...- mattering

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
Just wanted to share this pic I took of my S8F. Been using them back and forth with my S-EM9. For the price, the S8F is a really great value. There is a ton of detail in these things and the tuning is pretty well done. However, they still can't compete with kilobuck TOTL IEMs.- mattering

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
Already have one on the way. Hopefully it arrives before I go overseas in 2 days. If not gotta find a shop when I'm overseas and buy a cable... I almost bought one over the S8F but realized that they were gonna be too dark. Also the reviews are really split on the product. Maybe if they tuned...- mattering

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
The S8F are significantly more sensitive than the FLC8S. S8F are rated at 113 dB/mw while the FLC8S are rated at 96 dB/mw. So simply put, the S8F will be more than 2 times louder than the FLC8S when fed the same amount of power. Ohms are not a the biggest factor in determining headphone loudness...- mattering

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread
Hi guys, so I got a xDSD a couple of week and I am loving it so far. It's amazing for portable use like when I go to a Cafe to do some work or when I traveling around on the subway. Recently got a Fearless S8f and ran into noise floor issues so I had to use IEMatch. Can anyone with the same...- mattering

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
So I finally received my S8 from black Friday sales after approx. 2 weeks. Originally ordered the S8P but got the S8F instead, oh well, don't really mind it. Anyway, back to the IEMs. First thing I noticed is that they are really sensitive. I can hear a noticeable hiss on my Dragonfly Red and my...- mattering

FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions
Just ordered the S8 pro universals over black Friday weekend, would have gone for customs if I knew where to get ear impressions here in China (I practically just moved so don't know the word to search for it). Anyone know what the turnaround time is for the IEMs with custom shell art?- mattering

Massdrop PLUS Universal IEM
I have no doubt that the Massdrop Plus IEMs sounds good but with the comparison of it being like the etys or UERM with added sub-bass, how does the overall bass impact, texture, and mid-bass compare to something like the earsonics SM64?- mattering

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics
Happened to mine too. When I left mine alone for 2 to 3 months, it worked again for a couple hours but then it happened again. The pulse gets stuck in a frozen state as I cant change any settings for the time it was outputting sound. So you are pretty much crap out of luck when it comes to USB...- mattering

Audeze Deckard - class A amp, USB DAC
I just got my Deckard in today. Firstly, it looks way better in real life compared to pictures posted over the internet and there is some heft to its weight! I like it. I wish I could compare this to my now defunct Geek Pulse X, I can only compare it to my Dragonfly Red (DFR) DAC/AMP in which...- mattering

Audeze Deckard - class A amp, USB DAC
How does the DAC of the Deckard compare to other dacs/amp combos at the 400-600 range? Specifically, I was looking into the Grace M900, Schiit Jotunheim, and the Burson SL9018 but the Deckard has me wanting to press the buy button more than any other. My Geek Pulse X crapped out and my DragonFly...- mattering

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics
Dam, my home audio setup is all connected through my desktop though my setup is just simple DAC/AMPs and I am what people would call a "casual" audiophile (I dont care for lossless formats and I stream a lot of music). Also my Geek Pulse X crapped out again. I don't wanna switch to android...- mattering

Massdrop x Noble X Universal IEMs Review / Preview
After many hours of listening to the Noble X, I have to say that these are well deserving the original $500MSRP. These compare with my Earsonic SM64s really well in terms of sound performance and quality. Expect a SM64 v Noble X showdown review in the next week or so :D. Tip rolling is important...- mattering
