Over-The-Ear Version of ****?
I really enjoy the sound signature of the ****, but I want an iem that's meant to be worn over-the-ear. Are there any iems under $75 with similar sound quality and signature to the **** that can be worn over-the-ear?- Basilius

Headphone extension cable
I have this cable and I like it. It is thin, flexible, and I haven't noticed any sound quality deterioration (reproduces sound perfectly). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002Z3D8ZE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -

Best Gaming Sound Card Under $100
Asus Xonar D1 or DX. I currently have the D1 and it is much better than onboard audio, and it is made with all solid caps. I also had the DG and it was better than onboard audio, but it died after about a year. The D1 and DX are made with all solid caps while the DG and DS aren't, so I think...- Basilius

The discovery thread!
I just received my Xiaomi Pistons from Inshoes and they sound terrible. They also match some of the pictures of the fakes (page 1378). Hopefully I can get a full refund.- Basilius

The discovery thread!
I bought the Pistons from this seller a week ago and they already shipped, so I can't cancel. How can I tell definitively if they are fakes (apart from sound)?- Basilius

TDK BA200 Thread
Quote:Quote: The only ones I've heard are the Ortofon Eq-5 and the Rockit R50, and I prefer the BA200 over them. The BA200 doesn't have as much clarity and detail as the R50, but it's better in almost every other way (bass, dynamics). I also think the BA200 beats the E-q5 in every way...- Basilius

TDK BA200 Thread
I would say about 5-6. It's very clear and not siblant, but it's not hyper extended or detailed like the Rockit R50. To me, the TDK BA200 sounds more like a very clear dynamic driver than a BA based iem (which I like). It's very musical and enjoyable with great clarity.- Basilius

Able Planet Sound Clarity® SI500 (impressions)
I have these and they are dual dynamic drivers, not balanced armatures. I also think they are a clone of the Radius DDM2 or Brookstone Dual Drive (same dual drivers and specs). I've never heard the Radius DDM2 so I don't know how they compare, but they have the same housing and specs and sound...- Basilius

Xears Thread (formerly TD III)
I haven't tried any of the other models, but I have the XW700Pro and I like it better than the Ortofon e-q5. It sounds thicker and has more bass, but it sounds more natural it has as much detail as the Ortofon (Ortofon sounds robotic/synthetic).- Basilius

Good bass with forward, airy mids (max $300)
I'm looking for a new universal iem for $300 max, but I'm not sure what to get. I've tried the Rockit R-50 and liked the instrument separation and details, but it there wasn't enough bass and it sounded lifeless. I also didn't really like the Vsonic GR07. I'm looking at the RE-400, but it...- Basilius

Xears Thread (formerly TD III)
If anyone is interested, I have the Xears Woodynator XW700Pro and they sound great. This may sound ridiculous, but I also have the Ortofon e-q5, and I prefer the Woodynators. The Woodynators have almost as much detail and clarity as the Ortofons, while having more bass. The Xears sound...- Basilius

[REVIEW] Aurisonics ASG-2 & 2.5 (with many comparisons)
The ASG-2 seems to have the sound signature I'm looking for, but it's too expensive. Are there any universal iems that have a sound signature similar to the ASG-2, but are less than $300?- Basilius
