Im considering trading my se530 for Orto eq5. Im really into vocals/midrange and love the se530, but I want to try other IEM and dont have money to hold on to both. Would you say the eq5 is at least as good as the se530? Is it a good trade?

I know of the Shure se530/535, but before I buy a pair are there any other less expensive IEMs with really forward midrange that Im not thinking of? Im not too concerned with other parts of the spectrum, just really forward and clear midrange.

With most of my IEMs sold, all I had to test the Cowon S9 with was my Sennheiser mx580 earbuds. Even so.. WOW.   I didnt think a dap would make that much of a difference in sound quality. The S9 completely smashes the clip+. Of course, its 5 times more expensive so it better smash it.  ...
