I was thinking of bypassing or changing the output caps of the Elite Pro soundcard. Anyone have any idea which of those they are? I was thinking they are the four closest to the dac. Elite pro has three output channels with separate dacs, that's why there are so many of them...

The opamp for elite pro's outputs is the jrc2068. The opamp for rear and side outputs is jrc2114. I was just browsing through their specs and it seems that the 2114 actually seems to be a better opamp with lower thd and higher slew rate. Am I correct? http://www.njr.co.jp/pdf/ae/ae04022.pdf...

Hi all! I've done some modding on my emu 0404 soundcard (changed opamp to ad8066, removed buffers + bypassed output caps). Now I've changed all of the relevant analogue caps to sanyo oscons. Same voltage and capacitance, except a couple of the new ones are 15 uf instead of 10...

I'm about to switch the opamp on the emu 0404 soundcard from the jrc2068 to the ad8066. Are there any complications that I should know about (I have pretty minimal knowledge in anything diy or should it be pretty easy to swap? Just take the jrc out and the 8066 in.
