Hey guys,   I just got the D1 plus, I connected the unit to my powered desktop speakers via the 'tube out' rca's. However, when I plug my headphones in, the preouts do not mute. Is there a way to get the preouts to mute when headphones are plugged in?

So the new Modi 2 Ubers have the new AKM 4490 chip. I want to know for the people that have the new version, what are your impressions? Also, how does it compare to other DACs like the Bifrost 4490?

I just bought the D1 Tubemagic with upgraded tube and op amps. I don't plan to use the tube out, only the solid state. I plan to leave this unit on 24/7. Should I just take out the tube? Or can I leave it in there while its powered on all the time?

Anyone with a Lyr 2 can comment how the pairing is? Also what dac as well? I'm in the market for a new amp/dac that is an upgrade from the Modi2U/Magni2U.

  Hmmm, I tried this. I plugged in my Modi 2 Uber into my Macbook Pro's USB port, didn't see anything pop up in the sound settings. I turn my Modi 2 Uber on, and it pops up. I guess this means I have the new 4490 version?

This is correct. I tried all the stock Senn tips, but the Auvios have the best clarity but it somehow mutes the bass just a tad when compared with the stock silicon tips.
