Top-Tier Universal IEM Comparison Chart, Frequency Response Charts, & Discussion
^^Midoo please don't take this the wrong way, but while I thought you were making interesting points in your post (although the overall tone seemed a little agressive towards my buddy Joe) , it was incredibly painfull to read due to poor punctuation & lack of paragraphs... Could you please edit...- daouda

All around iems under $150
If you cant get a good price for HJE900 in Pilipinas, I can vouch for (burned-in and foam-modded) VBs as very good all-rounders, especially since you can adjust the bass response with their interchangeable plates.- daouda

Top-Tier Universal IEM Comparison Chart, Frequency Response Charts, & Discussion
People, please take it easy on poor ol'joe, he started this with nothing but good will and is trying his best to objectively reflect everybody's opinion, but obviously bit way more than he could chew. Whatever the result, I agree with iponderous, this is a very interesting experiment...- daouda

Multi-IEM review v.1: 48 earphones compared
@Napi : Ive already tried gazillions of tips on both HJE and VB including sony hybrids (which need to be really stretched to fit VBs) and I dont like how those seem to choke off the soundstage a little (while still not absorbing the treble harshness that hurt my treble-sensitive ears without...- daouda

Multi-IEM review v.1: 48 earphones compared
So be it, but you have to be warned : if you have (like myself) any special sensitivity to treble harshness and/or sibilance, and dislike excessive brightness, you should be ready for a mandatory foam-mod and very long & intense burn-in sessions. EDIT : was talking about VBs, but its also valid...- daouda

Review: ECCI PR100 and PR200 - Cyclone's Fresh Start
Joker, thanks for your precise answers, those ECCI look interesting but i should probably refrain from buying them since i already have enough cheap-and-cheerful chinese IEMs in my possession... I will probably consider getting them when the Pr1pro finally die on me, if no other bang-for-buck...- daouda

Multi-IEM review v.1: 48 earphones compared
I might be a lousy imaging judge, and I dont have any IEMs in my ears right now while writing, but it could be that HJE have better imaging inside its less spacious soundstage... However the bigger sense of space provided by the VBs gives a more 3 dimensional feeling of different layers of...- daouda

Good luck with this Joe, you have some serious guts, daring to start something like that. Its gonna be very informative and useful though, but you're probably gonna have to indefinitely enlarge each of the boxes in your table...- daouda

Review: ECCI PR100 and PR200 - Cyclone's Fresh Start
Joker, so pr1pros have a more accurate tonality compared to the ECCIs (and they do have the most natural tonality vs anything else ive heard), does it mean those are on the warm side of neutral? Also, how do their bass compare vs pr1pro : more or less extended, more or less weight, emphasis on...- daouda

Multi-IEM review v.1: 48 earphones compared
@Napilopez : what made the biggest difference to make me change my mind so drastically was the change of source : from the fuze HPO or fuze HPO+E5 the sloppy midbass hump on HJE was spoiling everything for me... Using my high-quality LOD tightened the bass tremendously, finally allowing HJE...- daouda

Multi-IEM review v.1: 48 earphones compared
Just a quick post to put what i wrote into pespective : I did want to refrain from posting impressions so early, and now I have to temper some of the things I've said : with a better source than Fuze or SOny s639 HPO (FUze+film caps LOD+E5 or uDAC, and FLAC files), the midbass hump on HJE is not...- daouda

Best bassy IEM's under 100$?
FA Eterna arent that bassy.... they are quite midbassy for sure (and too much so for my tastes), but they very much lack in lower bass extension (and response) compared to hippo VBs.... But then, what else doesnt? Actually pr1pro have more sub-bass than eterna... They have a very reasonable...- daouda

Multi-IEM review v.1: 48 earphones compared
Just do an "earbud foam" search on ebay and you will be overwhelmed by the offers... By the way, did just a quick little more A/Bing with foam-modded VBs and HJEs, the mids and treble presentations are not really "exactly the same" as i said but still pretty similar. VBs seem to be a little...- daouda

Multi-IEM review v.1: 48 earphones compared
I would need to do more A/Bing of both without foam, but foamless HJE900 (i got them after tstarn burned them in for about 90hours), while much too bright for my tastes, didnt present the same ear-piercing harshness that I recall foamless VBs still bothered me with after 100hours of burn-in...- daouda

Multi-IEM review v.1: 48 earphones compared
^^I wanted to wait for more listening time before posting more impressions about the HJE900, but i have to comment after this question : Foam-modded HJE900 with around 90 hours of burn-in sounds EXTREMELY similar to foam-modded hippo VBs with several hundreds hours of burn-in... Pretty much...- daouda

Test Monster Turbine Pro COPPER Headphones
Would really love to hear them, as everything I've heard about them so far makes me feel they could very well present the type of sound signature & quality I'm looking for right now, but haven't heard from any earphone yet. Also as a musician i think I will give a good review to those earphones...- daouda

Widest Soundstage below $150
Cyclone pr1pro and hippo VBs have both spacious soundstages, pr1pro has a more flatter sound signature but VBs have a much more airier, 3d-feeling soundstage, which separates each sound layers with a great sense of space and air between them. Its bass is only boosted in its deepest end (about...- daouda
