So I spilled some sort of glue all over one of the pads. After much effort I came to the conclusion that this stuff just wasn't going to come off. So I started going through my spare pads looking for a pair of replacements. I found a pair that looked like they'd fit and they did... perfectly...

    Are there any particular drivers that would work in these? Please don't say Ortho's because I tried them a while back and I don't remember why - they were either too big to fit or they sounded like hell - but they just didn't work.        These are not those Wesc Alp Horn things...

I wanted to compare them to my current budget champions (Maxell DHP ii) as they supposedly cost around the same - $30. Problem is very few retailers seem to carry these and the ones that do all seem to want well above $30.   Any place in the US still selling them for around $30?

Seriously, I think they're quite good for $15 shipped. Stupidly good for that price as a matter of fact. I actually think that these are the new budget champions. Try them out, review 'em and if you don't like them then I'll buy them off you. It's a no lose proposition in my estimation.

On your modded out KSC75's - what is the purpose of the "68 Ohm impedance adapter" and what does it do for the sound? Do you know how the resistance is run in this thing? Is it a straight inline resistor per positive or is it more like an L-pad with another resistor to ground? Also...
