    Yamaha EPH-100

We are concerned to read on recent posts that some of you may have received non genuine stocks from eBay sellers and elsewhere and we have also noticed a few sellers we've never heard of selling these (who aren't audio specialists. In several cases we've checked with Yamaha and Yamaha have not...

    Yamaha EPH-100

Sorry to hear some of you have been caught out by fakes. The fact of the matter is, if the price looks too good to be true, it probably is! We used to sell EPH100 for £99.95 and now sell them for £69.95 which is a 30% discount off our original price. Anyone selling much below this is very likely...

audioaffair.co.uk not sending my headphones, crappy customer service, getting no reply.

This is a very old thread now and the delay with the order will have been resolved at the time, but we just wanted to take a moment to apologise again for the delay with your order back in 2012! Whilst we'd grown rapidly since our early days when we opened our showroom in 2007, we've made some...

    Yamaha EPH-100

We're sorry to hear some of you have been caught out buying EPH100 from other sellers who havent offered to replace them when theyre faulty or honoured any warranty. This is unfortunately the risk though of not buying from a trusted and authorised seller.   Just as a reminder - Audio Affair is...

    Yamaha EPH-100

We're sorry and concerned to hear of the suggestions that some of the pairs of EPH100s that are selling on eBay from non-dealers are fakes. For UK customers, its also worth bearing in mind that if you order from abroad, you also run the risk of being charged separate customs charges that may not...

Quote:   Hi Levi, apologies again for the fact the AK120 was faulty. As already discussed, we aim to reply to e-mails very quickly and we were only aware of the fault after we received an e-mail from the supplier you'd sent over to him (we checked our e-mail prior to this and couldn't see...

Top 5 portable headphone amplfiers - cast your vote..

Hopefully this won't be viewed as a pointless thread as we appreciate it's tricky to pick any "top 5" without considering other aspects such as price and matching headphones etc. but ignoring all of that, what would you vote as the top 5 portable headphone amplifiers on the market today?

Audio Affair listening room - what is your "ultimate headphones demo" ?

Thanks for the comments guys. I agree it would be a benefit to be able to demo these in one place. We're leaning toward the higher end of available models, though our plans are based on our UK showroom so unfortunately it'll only be of benefit to local head-fi'ers! Has anyone compared...

    Old Sennheisers and what amp?

You will always get better performance from a dedicated headphone amplfier as the headphone output on most integrated amplifiers is a last minute, cheap addition, so having a dedicated quality separate headphone amplifier pays dividends. I have to be careful what I say as we are a retailer...

    Best headphone amplifier over £500?

Our question may have been a little unclear. We were just interested to hear what your opinions are on the best headphone amplifier you've heard over £500 (over $1000) ? You're right that price certainly does not always indicate performance - we're just curious to know what your choices would...

    Anyone still using cassette?

For nostalgic or practical purposes, does anyone still use cassette on the move (possibly a Sony Walkman Pro for the devotee?) As the format of my youth I'm just curious to see how many cassette fans there are still out there!

How much would a good rig for the HD800 cost?

From our experience, you can get stunning results even if your budget is modest. You might even find a £1000 CD player plus headphone amp and/or DAC would be a good combination for the HD800, though obviously you'll get more out of them the more you spend.

Guy - thanks for the reply - good selection there to have a look at and most of what we were shortlisting. It's always good to hear what people recommend. Just out of interest what have you and others preferred the sound of from this list? I agree also its good to have a few DACs to try -...

I got shoved into and dropped my ipod..

Unfortunate. Same thing happened to me recently with a pair of sunglasses when someone bumped into me in a shopping centre. Not an expensive pair but managed to get them put "right" at an opticians.. have you considered a case to keep your iPod safer in future?
