IDT HD in Dell Vostro 1320 sounds terrible!

Quote: Yes I'm actually looking for one sub 200 dollars. Seems like the Fiio E17 would be great as it can be used for portables as well. Might improve the sound from iphone, ipad úsing dock connector also?

IDT HD in Dell Vostro 1320 sounds terrible!

I'm listening to my Realtek equiped computer today, listening to Oskar Schonning a Swedish jazz band (great by the way) and man does it sound flat and uninspiring through the Realtek. As mentioned before the IDT is unlistenable so I simply don't use it. The Realtek however is usefull but with...

IDT HD in Dell Vostro 1320 sounds terrible!

I have two computers at work, one Fujitsu with Realtek HD soundcard and one Dell with IDT HD and my homecomputer is a Macbook 2010. The sound out of the HO differs greatly. I'd rank them as follows: 1. Macbook 2. Realtek 3. IDT. I've been listening to compressed music through Spotify premium...

Ok. Paired with a brighter sounding amp. that gives some more control to the bass they should be fine.

I have just had these phones an hour or so and shouldn't really comment yet. Sorry. But I have now listened at som emore songs, among them "twenty thousand leagues under the seas" like Jules Vernes' book but by a swedish band called Bo Kaspers orkester. Really complex baselines works just fine...

I am certainly not an experienced listener to headphones but I have had a genuine hifi interest for as long as I can remember. I have auditioned systems in various parts of my country and I must say that calling these phones pieces of junk is a bit harsh. I agree the bass isn't tight and...

    Rank the IEM's you've heard

    ADDIEM, NE-7M or Klipsch S4

So my new iems have arrived. Listening to them rigth now and I must say they are à definitive step above the addiems. The whole frequency spectrum is more open and with faster pace. The midbase is clearly superior with more liquidity which also is true for the midrange where none of the veil...

    optimal IEM upgrade for iPhone

I too was in the market for good iems with mic for my 3GS but remembered that the stupid iphone doesn't output my voice in the iems which makes it virtually impossible for me to speak with the plugs in my ears since I can't hear myself. So I went ahead and ordered a pair of Klipsch x5. Here in...

Just hit the buy button on Klipsch X5 since I stumbled across a great deal. Thanks anyways. Got them for $140.

    ADDIEM, NE-7M or Klipsch S4

@slaters70: thanks for the tip but the ety mc5 isn't available in Sweden so the ety option is the hf2 or hf5. I'm surprised to see you think the Klipsch s4 is on par with the addiems. I understand that their soundsig. might be totally different resulting in people saying they are equally good...

    ADDIEM, NE-7M or Klipsch S4

Since I tried to erase this thread I didn't mention I actually have the addiems and has had them for about a year now and am thinking about upgrading. It's funny how my conclusion about consensus seems to be proven right away. This might become an interesting thread after all.

I wanted to take this thread away but I don't understand how?   I saw that there are alot of posts regarding these iems and that no consensus is ever found why this thread seems unnecessary.

Do you find that high-end IEM's make a lot of modern "pop-rock" sound horrible?

This is an interesting topic indeed and it has been debated widely on different forums here in Sweden. My take is that you can find really revealing and transparent sounding gear that still lets you listen to most of your favorite music, however it's difficult to find the right combination of...

Top IEMs with Apple earphones frequency response

Aha so you have the Apple iems andprefer the balance they have so you are looking for something with similar balance but more refined. Sorry about my post, English is not my first language.

Top IEMs with Apple earphones frequency response

Are you talking about the Apple buds that come with all ipods and iPhone? Comparing them to top-tier iems? I find the earbuds that come with the iPhone greatly lacking in every aspect I treasure when it comes to sound. The iems Apple make are kind of cheap and sound ok if the music isn't...

Yeah, E5 seems like a fun gadget, however not that hifi. Since it's so inexpensive I can do as you suggest.

thanks wasn't really a lot of people that had experience, only one, but that one biased me towards hf2 rather than RE0. Fuller midrange sounds interesting. Another thing is the lack of bass impact which seems to be an issue with both, it sure can be nice with some bottom end when listening to...

By the way I found the ER6i being sold used for 69$. How do they compare to hf2 hf5. I know they are cheaper but not that much. Here in Sweden the hf2 sells for 168$ and the hf5 (strangely) goes for 211$. I guess I just upped my price limit a fair bit :-)

Looking for open airy transparent iem with iPhone 3Gs

Hmm yes it is tricky indeed. The balance between open, non veiled mids and full sound is perhaps the most puzzling thing for anyone making speakers, iems or floorstanding. Soundstage I think comes autmomatically when there are enough microdetail in the mids and the bass. However it is possible...

Looking for open airy transparent iem with iPhone 3Gs

Those sound interesting. I do recall people saying they are a bit analytical and bass shy. I Love full sound also, With lush sweet natural midrange without veil, forgot to mention that. Thin is not an option. Perhaps the RE-0 delivers in all aspects in relation to the price. Thanks for the tip...
