Steven Wilson - the hypocrite....
I personally love Aviv's voice - and the album as a whole. But i agree - the mastering is a disappointment compared to the first two Blackfield albums and the Live in New York DVD (which is great!). -

new arcade fire album brick-walled?
I agree, the mastering sucks - the vocals are distorted (i don't think it's on purpose) and it just sounds compressed. But I can cope - it's an incredible album in every other way! -

Convert open to closed?
1. Make a wooden box 3x3x3 ft. (perhaps sq will improve if you make it bigger) 2. Isolate it. 3. Make a hole that fits your head and headphones. 4. Insert head. There's room for improvement - perhaps you could replace one of the sides with plexiglass- hrjacob
