L.K.S. Audio MH-DA004 Dual ES9038PRO DAC - Van Damme's double impact?
Looking at your photo it looks like you may have bent the pins on the left. They need to be in contact with the top of the battery while the pins underneath will contact the bottom.- limey

Currently using a Singxer Su-1 with a Gustard X20 pro using I2S. Anyone have the LKS DAC004 working with the SU-1 and is so what DIP switches needed to be turned on.- limey

New (and pretty harsh) review of iPod touch from iLounge
- especially the folks who haven't heard the Touch or seen it in action. I bought it last week and it's great for travelling. Small, light sounds good with Tomahawk and even without when on airplane. Movies look great, apart from the issue with blacks - which doesn't affect enjoyment...- limey

Looking for a new CD Source
I'm currently looking for a new CD player (SACD/DVD-A would be a bonus) for a headphone only system. I will have XP7 (on its way) and Meier Prehead (probably soon) as amps and my Senn 650's + Mobius cable and ER4-P/S. Prefer a one box system, not seperate DAC and player. I will have up...- limey

K1000 + Marantz 2230
Will it be OK to use a pair of K1000's with a Marantz 2230 until I can afford a better amp - as long as I'm careful with the volume control?? I'll be looking for a nice valve amp soon. Anyone have any idea how it will sound? The source is a very heavily modded Pioneer DV-626 with modded...- limey

NJB3 battery life
Can someone let me know how long their battery lasts for on the NJB3 if you just use wav files as opposed to mp3's? Is it still reasonable if you use both batteries? I presume that the shock protection is also pretty poor when using wav files as opposed to MP3's as the buffer won't be able to...- limey

No More Super Minis?
I won't hear a word said against Fixup. I have bought several products from him and all have been delivered ontime and as promised. Anyone who disagrees with his practises should get over it. He has provided a great service to many Head-Fiers and I for one am very grateful.- limey

Can anyone recommend a good transport
I'm looking for a new CD transport to go with my Perceptual Tech P-1A and P-3A DAC. At this point I don't even know how much to spend to get a decent transport. I may even go with one of the new DVD players that accept DVD-A and all other formats. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thx- limey

Thx
Thx for the useful answer notirious. . I've been though many times and looked but there don't seem to be many people who reccomend anything other than the RA-1 to go with the RS-1's. I'm just looking to owners of RS-1's to let me know what they are using and what they think of the various...- limey

Best Amp for Grado RS-1
I have a pair of RS-1's which I am very happy with. However I only have portable amps at the moment and want something better for home use. I listen for long periods and use crossfeed so the RA-1 is out. I mainly listen to rock, prog rock and jazz/rock. I wouldn't be adverse to getting a...- limey

Portable/Isolation dilemma: Plz HELP!
For your situation I can only see limited options - Headphones have to be the ER4-S as they are the only phones with enough isolation to be listenable in your environment. If you want good quality I'd go for the Headroon Supreme or Cosmic. Both are very well built and will take AC or 4 D...- limey

Portable Rigs and Airport Security
I've travelled a couple of times recently with a portable rig (780 +TA+ER4-S) and haven't had any problems. I also carry a pair of 888's to use while I'm walking around (safer as I can hear cars etc). At least I can (if needed) let the security people listen to the 888's instead of the ER4's...- limey
