Hello. My name is Joey. Decided to join the forums to start talking to people. Long time audiophile, but for various reasons have started shrinking down. Used to have speaker setups and moving into more travel friendly headphones (you get strange looks carrying speakers around town). Looking forward to learning more and talking to some like minded folks.
So, I'm usually more active over on /r/headphones and /r/audiophile on reddit, but with the sweet canjams and meet-ups, it seemed like it might be worthwhile to finally join up over here.
More leaning toward the budget Hi-fi/Mid-Fi area, but I'm also starting to dabble more into the harder stuff since I have been saving up to do so lately.
Looking forward to soaking up some great info through the community!

CanJam is something crazy fun. Meets are also worth making a drive for. A lot of different gear that most of us don't have chance to hear as not that many places have the stuff to listen to. Plus the people in this community are just so great to meet. After 9 meets and 2 CanJam's haven't met a bad one. Welcome and good luck in your travels here.

Yeah, I ultimately made an account on the advice of Zach from ZMF to reply to the NYC meet up next month instead up of just showing up as a rando. Looking forward to the event, but not so much the 4 hour drive up to NYC.

You could not better advice from a nicer guy. Was just in St. Louis and Zach was there also a 4 hour drive for me also but worth it. I've been to two meets in Chicago that Zach has also shone his awesome cans. Have family there so it is a two for just a 30 minute drive more than St. Louis.

Fairly new to the hobby, figured this is a solid place to pick up a thing or two and bounce thoughts off those with more experience.
Also, classifieds and access to equipment at a price point I can stomach goes a long way for exposure to different gear.
So yeah. hi.
