Free CONUS shipping. I will consider shipping outside conus (additional $) if I can’t sell it in US. I purchased this amp in December 2022 when I was in between amps and saving up for separates and building a pair of speakers. I’m now all set and I don’t really have use for a second amp. The...- stryker

M^3 soldering question
Trying to go with 5 seconds or less. Sometimes it's a second longer but only on one or two times. I just got done doing several 3-second joints as I am getting better. This sounds soooo obvious, but I am wondering if the rosin is clear when it cools and is causing an optical illusion to me...- stryker

M^3 soldering question
I an a noob. Let's get that out right now. I am noticing something with the M^3 pcb that I did not when desoldering and resoldering some parts on my Sony player. I am noticing that I get a little rising of the green resist around the pads on the M^3 board when I am soldering parts to it (so...- stryker

I'm a dad!
Congratulations. Welcome to the club. It's a beautiful thing but, man, will you miss a good night's sleep! Remember how you first got into audio and then a whole 'nother world opened up to you? Well, it's happening again. First, being a parent. Then, being a consumer of stuff because...- stryker

WTB: 12V power supply
For my Musical Fidelity X-10D (a diyhifisupply variant thereof, actually). Someday I might try to build one, but for at least the next 6 months I need one built for me first. Anything approaching a good 12VAC supply is fine. The stock 'wart is...ya know. Not the 3 (or 4?)-pin termination on...- stryker

Mod my Sugden Headmaster!
Thanks for the heads-up. It will be primarily used in my speaker setup in living room as it makes for a good preamp and has a remote function with a motorized alps potentiometer. Headphone amp use will be secondary. I'll look into the beta22 but I would imagine it's not remote-controlled...- stryker

Mod my Sugden Headmaster!
If anyone wishes to attempt to mod my Sugden Headmaster please give me a PM. I have a link to where the infamous Carlo Flores modded these along with the now legendary "Carlo-modded Melos SHA-X" amps. It is in a fair amount of detail from photos/explanations on the site below. It would still...- stryker

Cheap transport + DAC or higher priced CDP?
Benchmark's DAC1 jitter-immunity claim is not true to me. I have used different tranports and find it does better with a low-jitter transport. Several other people have claimed the same outcome. Numbers are all that come out of the clock. The extent to which the numbers are accurate effects...- stryker

Oritek Mod Zhaolu 2.5 vs CI vda2 without xtra PS
The resale value will likely be higher for the VDA-2. I've heard the VDA-2 WITH PS and I preferred it over a sacdmods Zapfiltered Music Hall if that's any help. It's an extraordinary DAC for the money. If you're patient you can find a VAC-1 on the used market for around $100 when you get some...- stryker
