I just got my q701. Amazon prime delivers on Sunday! So far I must say I'm quite impressed with the details, high, and sound stage. Bass is not too bad either. It's pretty power hungry tho. For 175 I think it's probably best value in headphones.

Where do you get your balanced XLR to RSA cable?  Most headphones come with the standard XLR.  I really don't want to spend 100 dollars on the cable.  Any decent place to get a cable for a good price?

I have to agree with you.  For portability, it is pretty good.  I still think there are better headphones out there.  I do like their style but that's probably the main thing I like about them.  Not enough to justify for $400.

Lol.  I will be using it w/ my Theorem 720 as portable dac/amp.  For my main setup, I have SqueezeBox Touch -> Theta Va DAC -> Antique Lab Tube Headphone amp. I am very curious which setup will sound better.  So far I am getting very good sound from my portable.
