Battle Of The Flagships (58 Headphones Compared)
I would call SkyLab's post the 2nd greatest post ever. SkyLab's is a LOT longer covering some 200 pages if I remeber. But it was also portable amps right? not table top amps?- MasterBlaster7

Cavalli Liquid Gold
Good info in both posts Muppet. Good info Radio...come on, you can tell me, you refinanced your house for an MSB didn't you :D I would love to see one of these amps in person. I haven't been really impressed with the pictures. But, in terms of build quality, I am highly impressed...- MasterBlaster7

Cavalli Liquid Gold
Quote: I must have missed that somewhere along the way. I read pages 1-12 about a month ago but haven't covered the new stuff. Would you say that it is the best amp on the market to run either the LCD-3's or HD800's?- MasterBlaster7

Battle Of The Flagships (58 Headphones Compared)
He already has a good start on some of the best amps. There should be a community round up...to send David their amp, for like a month, and pay shipping both ways. This way David wouldn't have to pay and you could get like 50-60 amps reviewed with an awesome selection of cans. DACs might...- MasterBlaster7

Nah...im at about 500 hours now. I would say the original rule of thumb is right....400 hours for full break in. But I would say it was 80%-85% broken in at 200 hours. Thats just a gut feeling though...not measured.- MasterBlaster7

Cavalli Liquid Gold
From what I've read, the Liquid Gold is the greatest headphone amp ever; crushing everything that came before it. But the 6k price tag is crazy. So, I'm wondering. Do the components of the Liquid Gold justify the cost of the amp, or is it Cavalli's engineering genius you are paying for?- MasterBlaster7

This is still the best post, ever, on Head-Fi. I would LOVE to see something just like this on Amps and DACs.- MasterBlaster7

Isolation equipment (especially feet)
I use tenderfeet under my DAC and 4 inch maple block. I can vouch for them...they are an upgrade. I use something different under my WA6 tube amp....it is custom. I might use my custom mod under my DAC in the future but I am doing some critical listening to my tube amp right now and don't... -
Herbie's Super Black Hole
I have been using the black hole to watch some DVD's. It seems that I am getting a "soap opera effect" or the 48fps effect from the new released format of the hobbit...if you saw that. I don't see how that is possible as the black hole doesn't add frames. Anyone else notice this? -
Compelled to write! Mapleshade Power Strip
Just so you guys know...there is an option for a fuse inside of the power strip now.
