Monoprice SonicSolace ANC Bluetooth Headphones - Anybody tried them?
I ended up getting some. They fit fine, ANC seems seems pretty good, main complaint is that the headband is a bit uncomfortable. Probably keeping them though, since I read you have to step up to the Bose or Sony's to get noticeably better ANC, and those are ~$300.- JustJohn

Smallish bookshelf (no stands) vs ProMedia
Cool. From the review I linked it seemed like actual height was key. I appreciate the scientific explanation. Wedges are less offending on all three fronts (space, stability, aesthetics) so I would consider those.- JustJohn

Smallish bookshelf (no stands) vs ProMedia
So you think they will sound better than $100 bookshelf speakers? Is it because I don't intend to put them on stands, or are you just saying the ProMedia is a safe choice?- JustJohn

Smallish bookshelf (no stands) vs ProMedia
Background info if you care: I have been using a pair of Klipsch B-2 bookshelf speakers with a Topping amp/DAC, but moved those to the TV where I think they are better suited. They are a little too big for my desk and I felt like the sound was going past me a bit. Main question: What is going...- JustJohn

Optical out -> ??? -> B-20
After doing a little more research I am thinking it may be better to avoid getting a sound card for my build at the end of the year. That means I'm now leaning toward an all in one solution. Two more questions: Does optical vs usb in matter for the DAC? Optical is more convenient for me...- JustJohn

Optical out -> ??? -> B-20
Ok cool. Makes sense. I am also doing a new build within the next 9 months and will try to put a good sound card in it so I will have decent analog out. At that point I would only need the amp, so maybe I do want separate ones even if it's clunkier at the moment.- JustJohn

Optical out -> ??? -> B-20
Thanks for the advice. Any particular reason you recommend getting separate DAC and amp? Is it just because both in one is hard to find cheap?- JustJohn

Replacement for icemat Siberia, $40-100 range, no amp, gaming/music
Found some mint condition 558s on ebay for $77 with mic, and since I needed a mic anyway that puts them essentially at the 518 sale price. Went with that. However, I'm curious why I didn't get any answers. Too many options I was considering? Too long a post? Other?- JustJohn

Replacement for icemat Siberia, $40-100 range, no amp, gaming/music
Hey guys, I'm looking to replace some old icemat Siberias that I liked a lot. Looking to replace them with identical or better sound quality/comfort and a little more solid construction. I take good care of my headphones but one of those flimsy crossbars broke on me eventually. This will...- JustJohn

Fuze+ alternatives? (Something for running, must play video as well)
Hi, I have a little sister who wants a media player small enough to be convenient for running but can play videos as well. -Does not need to be audiophile quality. -Price could go up to $200 but looking for the most for the money. First thing that popped up was the Fuze+ but...- JustJohn
