**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**
Thanks for the answers guys. It's so strange, because I heard nothing of this when I tested it in the shop. I absolutely loved it when I heard it there. I can try it without an amp just to see if that helps.- Inter

**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**
I got the HE400 a few weeks ago and pairing it with my Burson Conductor is an absolute fiasco. It's so harsh it's unlistenable for me. I literally can't listen to anything on the HE400 at all. Vocals especially are incredibly harsh with tons of sibliance and listener fatigue setting in almost...- Inter

Warning About The Singlepower Extreme - Owners Please Read
I have a Singlepower MPX3-slam and I was wondering if anyone could tell if this is one of the safe ones? Never had much trouble with it, except for some noise in the right channel every now and then. It gets quite hot but I've used it for years..- Inter

Compass - No sound
Hi all, I've recently bought an Audio-gd Compass, but due to some circumstances I haven't been able to test it until now. I am running Windows 7. I connected the Compass to a USB port on the back of my computer and it found it just fine and installed it just fine. I have my home theater...- Inter

Headphones for a music studio
I'm sorry to be a party-stopper, but you might be able to get away with mixing with headphones, but mastering.. not a chance. You need monitor speakers for any sort of mastering work unless you want your finished master to sound good on headphones and more specifically the brand of headphones...- Inter

Broken ATH-ESW9
Sorry for the bump, but I also managed to break the left swivel. It's just a very thin plastic frame keeping them together there, too weak if you ask me. For headphones this expensive it should really have been built better. Glue doesn't work?- Inter

Which dac+amp can switch between them?
Hi guys, I've been doing a bit of research on DAC/amps lately but I am having a hard time finding out which reasonably priced dac+amps feature a way to use only the DAC or only the amp. I want to connect a portable dac/amp to both my laptop at work (using usb dac/amp) and also my computer at...- Inter

SDS, Supra, MPX tuberolling, the new global, improved thread
I've read almost all of this thread now and it's just way over my head. I purchased an mpx3 slam quite some months ago now but have yet to tuberoll at all, so I am currently just using the 6SN7EH that came with it and the two 5687's in the output positions. You guys clearly know...- Inter
