I'm sorry to be a party-stopper, but you might be able to get away with mixing with headphones, but mastering.. not a chance. You need monitor speakers for any sort of mastering work unless you want your finished master to sound good on headphones and more specifically the brand of headphones...

Sorry for the bump, but I also managed to break the left swivel. It's just a very thin plastic frame keeping them together there, too weak if you ask me. For headphones this expensive it should really have been built better. Glue doesn't work?

Hey, The MPX3-slam is fantastic right out of the box and since I've pretty much have never heard much difference between a brand new amp/headphone/cable and after 2-400 hours I have no comment on that. It's a great piece of electronics.
