Norne Audio (Was: Norse Audio): Feedback & Impression Thread
Hi All, I wanted to leave some public feedback here regarding the quality of the customer service that I received from Trevor at Norne Audio. About three years ago I purchased a cable from Norne Audio for my then LCD-2s which I have since upgraded to LCD-XCs. I love the cable and have used...- GalaxyGuy

Tidal Lossless Streaming
From what I understand, TIDAL offers some of the best compensation for artists in the business, which may account for some of the pricing strategy. I don't really know about how well Netflix compensates artists/studios, but considering the fact that their CEO is complete ******* tool, I would... -

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
In a word: Soundstage. The hd800 might give you a bit more detail than the th900, but I think that depends quite a bit on what amp/dac you have.- GalaxyGuy

The new Eddie Current 2A3x4
I believe it means they are changing the transformers. Amorphous core presumably means they are using an amorphous (non-crystalline) core material for the transformer. I don't know what that does in terms of the sound produced. Based on my experience with Craig, though, it will sound fantastic!- GalaxyGuy

I don't think you can go wrong either way! I was listening to my 2a3 last night with TH900s and even after listening to the amp almost every day for 10 months it still completely blows me away with how good it sounds.- GalaxyGuy

Wow. A balanced TH900? I wonder if it could possibly sound better than my SE version. The ears boggle.- GalaxyGuy

Audeze LCD-X
Although it's just a bit above your budget, I think the Woo Audio WA7 is a good choice with these cans. I had the combo for a while and it was awesome. Woo amps are on sale for this week, putting the WA7 at $900 and free shipping.- GalaxyGuy

Epic Woo WA5 / Eddie Current 4-45 Shootout
lojay, great review. Your experience with the 445 and HE6 is similar to what I've found with my 2A3 MkIV and the HE6. My amp just does not do justice to those cans. That said, I quite enjoy the amp with the HD800 (unmodded), LCD-X and TH900. All three cans are excellent with the 2A3 amp, as...- GalaxyGuy

Woo Audio Amp Owner Unite
I had a pair of the CV181 TIIs for my WA22 and one of the tubes died inside of 6 months. PSvane has a reputation for having sporadic problems, and I guess I ended up with a bad one. Before they died I think the NOS upgrades that I bought from Jack were better than the PSvane tubes. It's been...- GalaxyGuy

The new Eddie Current 2A3x4
I listened to someone's HE6s at the Head-Fi meet in the Bay Area in February when I picked up my MKIV and they sounded pretty darn good to me. It is possible that the amp may be a tiny bit underpowered for those cans, but not much. I compared to his solid state amp that was putting out tons of...- GalaxyGuy
