Newbie Advice on new IEM's - Upgrade from S4's
If you like the S4s, I'd go with the x10s. The fit is quite similar, so you'll know if you can achieve a proper seal and not have to worry about bulkier drivers/tips. Going from the S4, I found the low end to be much more refined. It has the punch of the S4s, without all the boom and bleed. I've...- DGarces89

The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..
No offense, but it's hard to take this thread seriously when you sound like such a shrill.. I'd trust Joker's reviews over yours, just because of his experience. Why call him out on his score as if you're amazed that the CC51, a widely acclaimed set of IEMs got a pretty good review? Quote...- DGarces89

Xonar U3 USB DAC
Quote: I've got one. Definitely sounds better than my onboard sound of my macbook pro. I can't use any of the Xonar software, but it sounds GREAT with my Shure 750dj's. It gives it a "fuller" sound.- DGarces89

[FYI] Various IEM's tips pictorial comparison (updated Sept 29th, 2011)
Quote: Would you be able to force the Klipsch's onto an SE215? I've found the biflanges to be the only tips that create a good seal for me, and I've been interested in the SE215s. It seems they would, as the Olives are 3mm according to your first post.- DGarces89

Review: Got Wood? Thinksound TS02, Woodees Blues, Fischer Daleth, Skullcandy Holua, Xears TD-III
Great review! The Xears definitely caught my eye. One question though, how do the Xears sound in comparison to the Klipsch S4 (if you remember by any chance)? I'm looking for a new set of IEMs, and those, the Eterna's and the HJE900s are all strong candidates, though I can't find the HJE900s...- DGarces89

klipsch promedia VS S4,,,,,,,what are the difrrents if any?
I have both sets of IEMs, the S4s and the Promedias. The Promedias have the addition of the mic and an adapter for computer gaming, along with a detachable cable clip. The sound is exactly the same, at least to my ears. The Promedias also have a different coating on the wires as compared to the...- DGarces89

klipsch image s5i require burn in...????????
Impossible. Demon Cleaner is a VERY bassy song, and I use it to test the bass response of all my headphones. On my Klipschs right now, it sounds like subwoofers in my head (also due to the mastering of the album). Two thoughts come to mind: 1) Your source files. 128kbps is pretty...- DGarces89

klipsch image s5i require burn in...????????
Make sure you're getting a GOOD seal with the Klipsch's. Get a track by Kyuss, such as "Demon Cleaner" and play it through your Klipschs. If you don't feel the bass in your ear canal, there is likely a poor seal. A poor seal will result in a less than optimal listening experience. If your...- DGarces89

Shure SRH-750 on ebay - Knockoff?
I just won an auction for a set of Shure SRH-750s on ebay for an astounding price of $85 after shipping. The only problem is, this price is about $50 than what I've seen them going for, and I'm worried they might be knockoffs. Is there any way to tell once I get them? I haven't heard them...- DGarces89

My ATH-M50 headphones sound like junk
Strapping Young Lad's "Love" may not be the best mastered song ever, but the dynamics are there. And if he's referencing old school Slayer, then there's a problem somewhere, although their newest CD was pretty brickwalled. OP, might want to check a .flac rip, or play it from the CD...- DGarces89

James444's IEM giveaway thread (competition has ended - see post #344 and #354 for winners!)
Ah, the Atrio M5's, I was looking at those (along with the Panasonic HJE900) as an upgrade to my Kilpsch S4. The Kilpsch have too much of a muffled midrange, and is a bit too sibilant for my taste. From what I've read, the M5s also have a wider perceived soundstage than the S4, which I too have...- DGarces89

Worst recorded/Mastered Albums
Most of The Mars Volta's stuff. The clipping/brickwalling is what kills most their CDs for me. Amazingly talented, but horrid mastering. -
