Update on my Mojo soap opera: after removing the battery The Mojo works fine and there are no more random shutdowns. The weirdest thing is even the humming / buzzing also stops in 15-30 seconds after I start it. Al in all - I'll keep using it. Less than happy with Chord (on my black list) but so...

I have to correct a statement made on this forum about my Elex. They do not distort. I had 2 (not 1 but 2) recordings that are poorly engineered and I overreacted thinking it was the Elex. Using other good headphones I came to the conclusion that the Elex accentuates those recording deficiencies...

After a few days of critical listening to some of my favorite recordings I made a very disappointing discovery - Elex suffers from really high distortion even at moderate levels. I am not even turning them loud, I have a fairly sensitive hearing. Around half way on volume of my iPhone the sound...

Ok - first thing first. The clamping is fine - no problems. Elex is not heavy or at least it doesn't appear to be; a few months ago I gave up my LCD-4 because of clamping and weight. Secondly - I thoroughly checked for sibilance - none. Now I am enjoying the new headphones on my Chord Mojo :)...

All is fine. Massdrop should have charged 1$ more and have FedEx deliver rather than USPS - or ship it as fragile. Anyway - super nice box, and superb looking headphones. Listening to them as I type. Happy with my purchase so far.

My headphones were just delivered - my wife heard the package falling on our concrete porch... The USPS employee just threw it - probably from distance. Massdrop is cheap - the race to the bottom... I'll see if the headphones are ok when I get home.
