    Yamaha HPH-MT8 studio monitor headphones

Is there any way we can buy mt8 earpads separately ? I'd love to try them on my mt220.

Anybody figured out the new site yet?

New theme is an absolute nightmare.. Why ruin a perfectly functioning website? Please bring back the old theme.

May be mt5 mt8 series pads might have same characteristics. Not sure. Still they might not be selling them separately ? http://www.yamahaproaudio.com/global/en/products/headphones/hphmt/

I already contacted Yamaha on this but since these headphones are discontinued they're not much helpful other than willing to replace them with the current model of the headphone.

Yep. Standatd hm5 pads are too thick imo too.  That's also the main reason why I ended up getting those cheap m50 pads like you.  Good thing is, since those pads are not expensive like sheepskin or any other Brainwavz pads you can throw them away without much frustration if you don't like...

I've also tried many of those cheap m50 pads but with those pads soundstage got congested big time and low end became too muddy and boomy..

Honestly I haven't found any good replacement pads for these either and my pads pleather layer weared off sometime ago. So what I did was removed the pleather layer completely and tried the naked yammie pads. But unfortunately without the pleather layer, sound signature became too thin and...

Honestly I think the midrange. 612pro's beautiful neutral midrange is the star. It's definitely one of the best open neutral all-rounders you can buy without a single doubt, specifically for that stellar price. Don't get me wrong, 612 might not be a detail monster but I prefer it's midrange even...

Yes. It completely ruins yammie's sound signature and making it too airy and bright... But if you can use some kind of sellotape around the pads to isolate the sound, then the bass will become more prominent and sound signature will become way less bright and airy.. Not sure that mod would...

I have 612pro. It's a great neutral all rounder. If you are into mid-centric music, its a fantastic option with great linear bass extension.  But for modern edm music genres, it doesn't have the speed or attack like mt220...

phenomenal bass texture with the stock pads. sometimes it's so frightening, like with this track....       speed and attack are my other two favorite aspects of the yammies. sooo impressive and heartstopping.....

Yep. that's Yamaha HPH-MT220.  It's mostly made out of plastic, but very sturdy.  Stock pleather pads are very comfortable, but too bad they're not selling them separately.

Didn't know those pads are that huge.. Anyway I wished Brainwavz had some shallower hybrid pads similar to those.

I'm not a big fan of deeper pads. They'll often reduce the mid-range. Had the same issue with Brainwavz hybrid pads with Yammies.    I think HE1000 UltraPad could sound great with Yammies, but not sure they'd fit well since they have an odd shaped oval design. And they are really expensive as...
