Ultrasone Signature DJ

I mainly listen to rock music on all of my cans. I never noticed that the Ultrasone Signature DJ is not perfect for rock. I cannot see a genre the is bad performed by the Sig DJ.

What about (Death)Metal? Are the Sig DJ's fast enough and forward enough for this?

Perhaps it is the smooth treble peak, but i just find guitars to not have enough 'impact' if you would, although drums sound fantastic. Or maybe i just cant find a good recording of rock, most of mine are terribly recorded and mixed. Just doesnt seem as perfect as edm and rap sound. Classical and orchestral sound perfect to me too surprisingly.

I think rock music sounds great on the DJs. I don't listen to death metal though.

This is the hardest tune I've listened to lately, and it sounds like murder, in a good way

I have said before that these headphones will reveal flaws in production techniques, but they will also showcase great production. Every radiohead track I've listened to sounds like a dream to me.

Should work for the Sig Series as well.

I found the Signature DJ online in a store in Munich last night for 590 EUR! It's open boxed so no idea on the condition. Should be with me tomorrow hopefully. If the condition is mint I may have possibly scored big being 590 EUR instead of 730 EUR.

Fingers crossed!

Where did you get that from? That's a super deal!

Oh that was on Ebay long ago. They were unused, the seller won them and didn't need them.

Those aren't even great deals. I got mine around the 600 USD point and sold it around the same. Head-fi can get you better deals than any store can...

EU seems to have higher taxes but having said that Ultrasone's from the EU?

Anyway, I sold the SigDJ for $600 (PP fees and shipping incl) which eventually made it to you (and on to someone else).

TWerk, may I ask why you are selling your TH-900?

Probably wrong place to ask, but I didn't want to write on your FS thread.

I wrote a bunch of posts on the TH-900 impressions thread last week about it. Overall, at this point in time, I find the D2000/D5000 which suit my preferences better, especially with price factored in.
