Shoot me a PM if you want the exploit needed to root it so you can run Titanium Backup. You'll need the paid version of TB to freeze apps. By freezing them instead of uninstalling, you can always make them re-appear in a second but to the OS, they're 100% gone.
Back on track: 8 hours on my DX100 and this thing sounds AMAZING already!

Conditions (Settings):
wlan, bluetooth: off
background services: off
rotate, animation: off
Conditions (Music):
16/44 ca.60%
24/88 and 24/96: ca 40%
tracks on internal and external card
Conditions (Usage):
Screen usage/Navigation: less than 5 minutes.
Headphone: LCD-3
Gain: high
Volume: 200
Playing continuously music, the battery drops like this:
at start: 100%
after two hours: more than 85%
after four hours: ca. 60%
after six hours: between 25 and 30%
after six and half hours: 20%
Though this isn't ecactly overhelming, it' s not bad either.
...talking about "overhelming"... the DX100 together with the LCD-3 make an excellent bedside rig! Overhelming sound and - lying on a pillow - the LCD3 is way more comfortable to wear (compared to sitting on a chair).
Just as I thought - The Peli 1020 is a perfect fit:
The bathroom scale is an evil, lying person that clocks me in at just over 100kg and I have stood on that case without any problems. Useless as protection in the pocket, great for safely transporting the DX100
If you check out the XDA-Developers forums you should find tons of threads for each device with wallpapers, some really nice ones too. I know the screen resolution on the DX100 is not that uncommon among android devices, so you shouldn't have much trouble. Android OS didnt support higher than 800x480 until Gingerbread and above. Their are only about 4 or 5 supported resolutions and it's highly unlikely iBasso would wanna make their life harder by also rewriting the display part of the kernel, as well as manufacturers don't really produce the other potential resolutions as it would be a small market for the demand of the screens.
I found some very fine carbon-fibre pictures on Google Image. I just found the one I liked best, copied it to my computer picture folder then transferred it to the DX100 gallery. From there is about a 3-click process to enable it as wallpaper. You can find about any wallpaper picture one can possibly want on Google Images.

I have also found a case with a perfect fit...a cheap Targus digital camera case that cost about three dollars and works perfect when closed with right angle plugs. It's also thin enough so that the DX100 won't overheat. I already had it from my H140...a double score!
Is that a picture using Poweramp? I don't get a view like that with the stock player.

I really had my eye on this player due to the Internal 64GB space + SD compatibility and, of course,
the need for an amp would be nil... but battery performance really kills it for me... (I work 9+ hours a day
and I need the player to get me through the day without charging... currently use an Archos 7 160GB which STILL gives me
20+ hours of continuous play... for amp I use the c421...)
