First news of the Teclast T59 HiFi Player
Dec 18, 2011 at 3:17 PM Post #241 of 309
Well i'll be plumping for a T59.

I have an s9, clip and fuze. At the minute the fuze with lod wins hands down, and i have a P4 warbler on the way.

But i have this feeling, that once i have the amp burned in, i'll be craving for a new dap.

Now it's either the new sony android unit, that does look very nice, has to come from asia to skip that horrible volume limit of course.

Or the brick T59, so far the teclast is winning just......

Never ending this game isn't it?

I'd go for a Fixed T51 version 2  (wishful thinking). Why not just fix whats broken and not make more mess making other half-baked devices?

Because the small electronic product life cycle in China is about 6 months. For T51 to sell over a year, even Teclast is saying it is something they would have never believed if someone told them a year ago. This is of course mainly because of the oversea market (a.k.a. we  ) .

The main selling point for almost all Chinese manufacturers is to come out with the 'newer and better' before your competitor did. Because no matter how good your product is, 6 months later there will be imitator in the market that sells cheaper than you. So they will never try to perfect something for the market, but instead they will try to outdo their competition (including the imitator) by offering something that is hard to copy at first, then come out with a totally new stuff in 6 months.

I could not have said it better myself, I myself find it strange to buy a Chinese product (esp. as it is intended for the Chinese market) that is still in demand and circulation from 2009.

Yeah, Teclast could have re-released the T51 with improved UI, higher resolution, mineral glass panel, red/white/blue/black/orange aluminium enclosure, higher-end opamp, and called it Teclast T51 mkII.

New junk is cooler.

At least the UI man, wished I could browse the songs like the J3.

What about the X29. Looks like an ipod knockoff lol. Isn't that device suppose to replace the Sflo2? Would possibly opt for one based on reviews and price.

You should judge DAPs by internal values! (hahahaha)

Teclast is just screw*** around this tablet business. I kind of have the feeling, that X29+T59 will be released some day far far away... if they are release, I will buy one X29 and review it.

But if I opt for the ibasso DAP then I'll be skipping it for sure. Actually really looking forward to that one..

I know ;( but the ibasso seems like the ring lol (one to rule them all).

hahaha, thats true. iBasso aims high with this one. Do not know if the 699 are true, but with this price the UM Merlin come to my mind. Unlike my signature states, I find my self listening to HM601+IE8 all the day. It is dark and not detailed, not even one "audiophile" would consider this rig as good sounding. I just love it..., but I swear when I wrote the signature, I was sure the DT1350 were the perfect headphone with the Cowon. Taste changes without notice. (message!)

If you like the IE8 I think you'd love the IE80. No need to EQ at all now. And paired with the Studio V is is a match made in heaven. Super wide sound stage and very detailed. Can't really call it dark, its more of a fun presentation with lots of detail. I really love the FX700 with the Hifiman 601. I was gonna sell my 601 but then it would ruin my FX700s for me. The Studio V and FX700 don't pair well at all together. Too much detail when combining them both makes for a very irritating sound presentation. Makes me wanna throw the Studio V and FX700 off the Pali lookout.
