Just found this old thread via google after listening to FLACs I had of the demo CD. The distortion is incredibly obvious and disturbing -- don't understand how this went out the door as a demo CD!

FiiO was kind enough to send me a free demo of the E5...may have been a preproduction model. Anyway, I loved it but it died after a couple months of light, gentle use. Anyone else have this problem?

Do these have the impedence of the ER4P or ER4S? Anyone know? I prefer the sound of the 4S, with an amp to drive them.

I too was not prepared for how small it is -- about the size of a pack of gum, but a bit shorter. Somehow photos don't convey how small it is in real life.
