My vote goes to the Noble x in balanced if possible. Laid back presentation, very spacious match with the r6. jhv

The PM-3's do not have a "strong" bass but it is very musical and pleasing to listen to imho. The midrange is excellent and all dynamics improve with balanced cables at least using the Pono.  I expected a much more subtle difference.  Images are much clearer.   cheers       jhv

Balanced mode gives about 3.5 hrs.   Listening to good music with quality production via decent headphones leaves no need at all for equalization.   (hey, what's this loudness button for?    )   cheers, jhv    

Try Surf cables.  They seem to be really responsive to questions and there have been a lot of good comments about them. Some vendors prices seem outrageous but many configurations (e.g. balanced) are time consuming to make. Moon Audio and Double Helix have a reputation for excellent quality.  ...
