just as an FYI for those who wants to know... the Fubar III is a combination of the Fubar II USB DAC and the Cute Battery II headamp both of which i happen to own and have been very happy with for about 2 years now. especially after shoving in 2107 and 627 opamps in them EDIT: also...- mADmAN

ESI Maya44 -> (ZERO + OPA627AP in DAC) -> (Cute Battery II Headamp + OPA627AP) -> Beyerdynamic DT990 '05. the battery has a slighly narrower soundstage than the zero's amp..but i dont really need soundstage since i listen mainly...- mADmAN

Review: ZERO 24 BIT/192KHz DAC/Headphone Amp/Pre-Amp
The ZERO is almost identical to the Zhaolu... even looks the same... heard the design was also based on the Zhaolu...so no surprises that it doesnt have a USB. i guess a cheap option would be to get a USB -> SPDIF converter. ive heard both good and bad about the converters though and that...- mADmAN

Review: ZERO 24 BIT/192KHz DAC/Headphone Amp/Pre-Amp
...the mids actually jumped out at me. another thing i like is that the highs on the DT990 is tamed even at stock, unmodded condition. now i have 2*OPA2107 in the headamp section. mids has become recessed again...but this is due to the fact that the opamps made the sound very airy... still...- mADmAN

i say try fitting them in there first..once done, do the bluetak mod on the cup and see how that goes (and/or mebbe some sound dampening material) just because a cup is open back doesnt necessarily mean its better. i had to stuff my phillips cups (which are open cans) with some foam and...- mADmAN

looking for headphones
x2 on the A900s. i recently picked up a pair of the A500 for gaming and they are awesome...i use them more than my 5.1 speakers now for gaming. so i can only imagine how a higher end model (aka A900) would sound like. and if u need a mic, u can always get a Zalman clip on mic- mADmAN
