ZMF Verite Open

I think the Aeolus in the pic is Sapele (the camera's night mode processing makes it look like Purpleheart). Just like the Silk Verite looks a bit darker almost like Teak.
We should have @zach915m and @mysticstryk confirm :)

Yeah it's sapele. No purple heart aeolus yet.

Received an exciting email (no,not single Russian women) last night...

Verite and Aeolus are inbound!
Will be posting my thoughts on both vs. Atticus(and perhaps Auteur) I will be using my Glenn OTL,in addition to a more modest Gilmore Lite Mk ll and yes,for the old schoolers my vintage receivers.

Love here your Auteur's vs Verite on the Glenn since mine is coming soon. Also like what tube setup on the Glenn you like best for these headphones.

Im not your normal "tube roller". I keep my power(RCA 6BL7x6) and rectifier(Mullard GZ32) in place 24/7 and all I change is the driver. Warm driver(Tung Sol 6SN7 round plate) for bright headphones and bright driver(C3g x2) for Atticus.

I try to keep it simple

I will be very interested in your comparison! Own (and love) Atticus, and definitely getting Verite.
BTW, also proud owner of Gilmore Lite Mk 2 which is awesome solid-state amp! Works very well with Atticus :)

Doc - I am somewhere next in line... My Glenn OTL is due in early 2019  Should be lots of fun using it to drive Atticus and (by then) Verite!

Glenn is building mine with C3g's. Hexafred rectifiers and 6BX7s and shipping with 13 Brimar D1 and got some Brimar's 6080's. Have Teak Auteur's and going for a Pheasant wood with steel grills on my Verite. Zach never ceases to amaze me and looking forward to his new masterpiece . I heard them both headphones on Zach's Glenn at RMAF this year.

The polished steel grilles look super nice

@zach915m will the screws in the center be the final design aesthetic for the grills? I've been comparing with pictures on the website, and they seem to be inconsistent in how the center of the grill is portrayed. I personally like the flush design without the screw, but it'd be good to know if the grills will all look a certain way, or differ with the different grill finishings.

Look forward to your impressions, especially using the OTL from Glenn.

Yesssss!!! It's going to be killer. C3g's can be hard to find in dead quiet form but they sound ++++

Oh - good catch! Our run of prototype grille's went awesome with the design, but we had a logo in the center of them and it didn't get laser cut perfectly. So in the website photo's I photo-shopped out the messed up laser logo. The final design will be smooth in the center, no logo. Sorry for the confusion!

Both aeolus and Verite are 100% final at this point all parts are being made, and we plan to start shipping in december and then into the new year for both models!

One point that I mentioned in the aeolus thread, the screws on that grille will be flush to the surface.

There are no screws on the verite grille.

My pair of C3G's are NOS from Germany and they look perfect so hopefully dead silent.

Sounds like the same seller I purchased mine from, and yes they're silent. They were more cash than other sellers , but worth it
