With the brass,is it prone to oxidation and turning green? And if so is it safe (for the wood and drivers) to use brass cleaner?

Brass on my Blackwood Auteur shows no oxidation whatsoever (received on March 9). And I live on the Oregon Coast, which is generally quite damp, so I would expect that my cans would be more likely than others to oxidize if that were an issue.So heres a silly question...
