Nice pair! I personally think Sapele is one of the best looking wood of all woods used so far, and is a nice middle ground in terms of hardness. The chatoyance is in full effect with that wood as well, and I can only imagine how good they look in person. Congrats and welcome to the club! Finally joined the club with some Sapele VC's. The pictures don't do this wood justice. The sound is everything described as well.

Thanks for the kind words of welcome. It was a little bitter sweet as I bid farewell to my cocobolo atticus in the process, which I know you are familiar with. Love cocobolo. Something tells me I will be ok though. Now to pad swap and dive deeper into tube swapping on my echo and bottlehead.
If it makes you feel any better, had a friend come over and dropped mine again and got another big scrach, so today I buffed out the scratches on mine. Now it’s time to put the osmo finish! Hope I don’t screw it up!I was doing some pad rolling and scratched my cup every so slightly by accident Any suggestions? @zach915m
We’ll time to let it dry. It looks so much better without the scratches. Just for a comparison I’ll add the before picture where the scratches were very visible.

Those look good now even with no finish on them. No joking, but you could probably get away with just rubbing some olive oil into the wood for a real natural look with a slight matte finish. We’ll time to let it dry. Bravo!! Can't wait for finished picture. Also, that friend of yours should keep a 6ft distance from now on of your VCs.We’ll time to let it dry. It looks so much better without the scratches. Just for a comparison I’ll add the before picture where the scratches were very visible.
If someone scratched my stabilized VC's i would instantly unfriend them.Bravo!! Can't wait for finished picture. Also, that friend of yours should keep a 6ft distance from now on of your VCs.

Nice job! So what did you do? Just rub the sanding paper over and around the scratch and then put the osmo finish on it? I just don't want to create any blemishes on the wood from being too aggressive with the sanding.
The damage extended past the scratches shown in the picture, but yea just rubbed the sandpaper, I used 1000 grit but it took about 20-30 of buffing, as long as the sand paper is fine I don’t see why you couldn’t use 1500grit if the scratches are as deep as the one my friend carved out were.Nice job! Actually he dropped my Salire which was holding both my Stabilized Auteur and Verite Closed. Luckily the Autuer took no damage, despite taking the full fall vs. him “catching” the VC. I just think the stabilized are that much more resilient. If someone scratched my stabilized VC's i would instantly unfriend them.

After I received my VC Olive, even though I also have Aeolus Arya Clear... I found myself just keep reaching the VC for anything I'm going to listen, before I got it, I thought isolation is not that important to me, but when there are really a pair of closed headphones sounds like open, I started to realize how I appreciate the isolation VC provide...
Same here, I needed the isolation from a closed back because now that I’m living in a city the outdoors are very loud as opposed to my town where I could walk outside with any open back and have no issue with having my music loud or quiet. Not saying that the Autuer has poor isolation, as it did isolate more than some other closed backs I owned, just needed something to block the Motorcycles and Honda Civics. After I received my VC Olive, even though I also have Aeolus Arya Clear... Well, I got the response from Zach and they still don't support cancellation for Stabilized orders, but they will support spot transfer after seller and buyer had the agreement
