I got the olive BBB strap to match my green VC! I've been meaning to get the BBB strap forever and I'm very pleased with how it looks and feels. The VC has been out of my rotation for a while, but lately I picked it up again and was reminded that this is my favorite ZMF headphone. I've owned most of the ZMF lineup at some point and currently own the VC, AO, and CO. The VC is still my favorite, especially with metal. Every other headphone I buy seems to get sold eventually, but not these. There's just something special about it that I can't get enough of.

Gorgeous HPs, and totally agree, the VC is an all time great in my view

I'd like to see more pictures. There are some fake ZMFs out there these days and this looks like it could be one.

The whole chassis would be aftermarket on that, which is why I suspect it's not original. Most folks send it back to us for repair instead of replacing the entire chassis. I can't say that's true 100% of the time, but it certainly is most of the time.

This is definitely NOT a real ZMF. There are a number of tells, the most obvious being that the driver is different and the cups are the wrong dimensions. I would not recommend trading your E3 for this particular unit.

I'm happy to help; it's always a bummer to get the lousy end of a trade like that so I am glad that we were able to catch it before it happened. There are plenty of real VCs out there if you're trying to find a good deal on a used pair. I expect that you'll find one if you're patient. Best of luck on your search.

The owner of these headphones is elderly man and far from the Internet. So I'm sorry that someone sold him these headphones. I hate similar situations. If I find out who did it, and he is the member of head-fi, I will do it. Definitely.

I will be joining the familia with a beautiful vc ironwood coming on monday i cant wait try them. Been wanting to hear them since ive tried the atticus and both auteur and auteur classic 3-4 years ago.

I just returned a arya stealth that i did enjoy alot, the quality of that bass is really something but was missing that full thic sound i crave. Atticus will still be my favorite headphone ever.. For now. Im really looking forward to the vc speed and warmth. A good middle between planar speed and atticus maple syrup would be perfect will post a small impression
