I will be joining the familia with a beautiful vc ironwood coming on monday i cant wait try them. Been wanting to hear them since ive tried the atticus and both auteur and auteur classic 3-4 years ago.

I just returned a arya stealth that i did enjoy alot, the quality of that bass is really something but was missing that full thic sound i crave. Atticus will still be my favorite headphone ever.. For now. Im really looking forward to the vc speed and warmth. A good middle between planar speed and atticus maple syrup would be perfect will post a small impression

I highly recommend pairing it with an output transformerless (OTL) tube amp if you have one. The 300 Ohm impedance of the Verite does very well with these types of amps or a transformer coupled (OTC) amp which are a bit higher in cost.

Yeah i will surely go for some tube amp eventually for now, i will use a burson 3xp stock and audio gd dac 19. I will replace the dac first for a holo audio cyan 2 or probably cyan 1 ( i had the 1 at some point) if i can, gotta be lucky to find one on the used market. Everything going trough that cyan was heaven. i actually did run my auteur classic on a quicksilver amp, it was really a great experience and im aware how zmf's can react to tubes my atticus did taste some tube amps as well

Just received my Verite Ironwood last day, i was not able to remove it from my head the entire evening.. god damm these are great and addictive! I can see them becoming my favorite pair of headphones easily last time i spend more than 1 hour listening to music was with atticus. 6 hours with verite and i only stopped because i was waking up 5 hours later to work

I would definitely recommend a back-to-back session to comment. I own the VC and have heard the Astrolith (and really liked it), but comparing them unless you had them on-hand would be a challenge.

Of note, many amps may not play well with both, so having a consistent chain could be tricky.
