the 'hybrid' Schiit Vali 3 -- 'tubed' with Brimar CV4003 -- is partnering amazingly well with Verite Closed !!

Curious what everyones favorite cable for the VC is? I currently have a Forza AudioWorks Noir Hybrid in 4.4mm but looking to get another cable for it but in XLR termination. I am eyeing Eletech's Inferno... any other recommendations out there? :) My VC is a Koa wood, if that matters.

Norne Drausk works exceptionally well for me. I compared it with my Norne fusion (silver + copper) cables and much preferred the pure copper Drausk cable.

For VC, cables are: Forza Audio Works Noir Hybrid, Norne Audio Vygarde, Norne Audio Vykari.

I've used the Forza Audio Works Noir Hybrid, the Viking Weave Isa, and I now use the ZMF Grand Palladium. I really like the Grand Palladium synergy with my VC's. Mine are stabalized maple and I use Universe suede pads.

So, many variables at play from one system to the next, as well as preferences, so I imagine what works for me might not for everyone else. That being said, I use a Forza Noir Hybrid with all my ZMF's, and quite thinking about cables after I got it. The Noir Hybrid just gets out of the way, and let's the headphones be all they can be.

If you are trying to enhance or reduce a certain part of the frequency then I would look elsewhere.

Thanks for the pad recommendation! Mine are also stabilized maple and I just acquired a ton of pads to shoot out, those among them.

The Eikon Hybrids are great but they are quite mid forward, which can either be grating or welcoming depending on your mood. These Universe Suede pads seem to do to percussion what the Eikon Hybrids did, while keeping the mids much more open.

Considering I came from Eikon Suede as the pads to beat and preferred the Eikon Hybrids once they arrived, I think Universe Hybrids are next on my list, hah.

I’m still kicking myself for selling the FAW Noir Hybrid before I ever had a ZMF, so don’t know what it would do to my VC, but I very much like the Grand Silver Palladium I’m currently using.

I've done most of my listening so far from the new 2024 Pro Cable by ZMF. All copper. Sounds damn good, and can't beat that price.

Norne Drausk works exceptionally well for me. I compared it with my Norne fusion (silver + copper) cables and much preferred the pure copper Drausk cable.

I love that cable. I bought one used for my HE1000 Stealth. It's outstanding.

Hi qua2k:
I use the Meze silver and copper cables with my ZMFs and the sound is fantastic. Moreover, price-performance and build is very hard to beat IMO.
Hope this helps.

Is there an easy way to tell Verite from. BE² pads?

I gathered that Verite pads have Universe pad openings and BE² pads have Auteur openings, but it's really hard to tell.

See here. Be2 pads have a foam inner instead of the nylon inner portion.

If you lay them down flat, the Verite pads should be thinner than the BE2 pads.

Then they're definitely BE²! The headphones.com thread indicated they both have foam.

I only have one set of pads. I have no reference point.
