Bassic Needs
100+ Head-Fier
Mine took 13 weeks. I agree, it was grueling. Sounds like you're right at the finish line!Nice! I have the same configuration, except my chassis is black. Week 13 now, I think. The wait is grueling.

Love those leopardwoods! Here ya go with my Leopardwoods. Sorry this shot doesn't show the Furutech 1/4" plug. Those are Furutech mini xlr's. My favorites. I don't even bother with others, although the Edolics are actually just fine. Furutechs just a bit more industrial. There you go, that's the plug I have on it. I had Alex do the Furutechs fo a bit extra, easily worth the price. He also reinforced the mini xlr's with some extra 4:1 glue shrink for me. I have tuning devices attached to my mini xlrs, so I wanted some extra strain relief.
They are amazing cables especially at the current sale price. Easily clobber my Neotech silver gold occ, which cost me more even back when I got them. Probably looking around $1000 now for a comparable harness. They just don't compare in any area. Its the Litz, just ask Alex! I am a total believer! Although knowledge moves me past belief. I use their Diamond USB and just finished breaking in the Platinum HC power cord. Best stuff I have ever played with. Massive improvement to my system.
They all work together to just simply blow up what the Verite Closed do so well. Best cable I have ever used. I had no idea a power cord could create the kind of improvement you expect from interconnect and headphone cable. The Diamond USB probably makes the biggest difference. Wish I could afford to bump the Power Cord up to Diamond Maybe next year I will trade up.
Happy listening,

I highly recommend the Schiit Valhalla 2 with Verite. Low cost of entry and way better synergy than you expect.Been loving my VC's paried with my Bifrost 2 and Sparkos Aries amp so far Can anyone recommend a good single-ended tube pre-amp that can bring some of that tubey goodness to a powerful and clean solid state amp like the Aries? I'm looking to dip my toe in the tube world rather than go full dive, lol. I was thinking of the Freya+ but I'm open to other suggestions of good tube pre-amps!
Anyone ever heard of Zeppelin & Co. and know why they'd be selling a pair of VC Stabilized for $4200?
Thanks, makes sense. I'll have to seek 'em out if I'm ever in Singapore.Yep, they're well known in Singapore and on Head-Fi in general, well respected. Have a coffee lounge audiophile thing going on.
Their pricing is in Singapore Dollars.
Indeed, thanks. YUP, they are quite amazing and really tweaking what's in front of them alllows them to absolutely sing!Love those leopardwoods!

Is there a vetted frequency response graph available for the VC?
In addition to seeing the data, I like to test bass roll off in my systems by ear. A quick test i do is run this Youtube video, and have it count down from around 50hz and I listen for the perceived output volume to drop off rapidly.
On the VC with Autuer Lambskin Solid pads, using a Schiit Vali 2 amp, it seems to roll off around 32hz for me but I do hear some output down to 16hz, which is around the typical limit of human hearing. Wondering what you guys are hearing on your amps?
If you aren't looking to break the bank and are checking out Schiit, the Valhalla 2 might be your cup of tea. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg to tube roll it and certainly adds the "tubbiness" to the sound. My post got buried before
Wanted to know if anyone can recommend a good tube pre-amp that pairs well with a SS amp (I currently use the Sparkos Aries) that introduces some good tubey sound? Ideally I just need it to be a pre-amp, so power isn't as important, and I'm not looking to break the bank. I had my eyes on the Schiit Freya+, but was curious what else could pair well?
People are always saying that you gotta use tubes to unleash the VC, but at the same time, the Aries is such an amazing SS amp especially with the VC, so really I just need to bring some tuby-ness to the chain.
We will have our yearly b stock sale in November (ZMF November) - so you could always wait for that!
