I recommend the Drop THX AAA 789. I don't think there's anything to be gained going to a more expensive amp. It can drive the VC at about 60% power and its measurements put it in like the top 1% of amps.
I never enjoyed VC out of AAA789. I enjoy VC out of a cheap tube amp like SW51 then out of THX.

I'm a proponent of the SPL stuff. The Phonitor XE has been my go to SS amp choice. Pairs very well with the VC's and HEDDphones.

I'm a big fan of the VC + Sparkos Aries pairing - it's an incredibly fast SS amp, with outstanding resolution and detail retrieval, and yet which retains a musical tonality. Not in any sense fatiguing, too. And, as I've mentioned before, also the SS amp of choice for @zach915m, which is endorsement enough of its merits.

Yep, got the Aries and now just waiting for my VC to come in! :) Looking forward to trying that pairing.

Does anyone know if this amp would be sufficient to drive other TOTL headphones such as Susvara and or Abyss TC?? I don’t want to get a speaker amp to drive the Susvara if possible.
Are you talking about the Aries? You should drop Andrew Sparks a line if so. Very nice guy and he'll give you an honest no BS answer.

Curious if you have heard the VC, from a higher end amp? I have and to me there is a big difference, as the VC scales like a mad man. If you have not had the oppurtunity to hear them off a higher end amp, I highly recommend it, as the Verite C is very revealing of upstream gear. Every time I upgraded a piece of gear in my chain, I could clearly hear the difference and each time it was for the better. When I say better, I mean sounding closer to real life.

I also wonder how the Aries compares to the RAAL HSA-1b HP amp.
It doesn't as it can't for ribbon-drive. Versatile dynamic/planar drive, likely comparable.
