Just curious if anyone has ever used the VC with the JPS superconductor HP cable (with the appropriate mini XLR3 adapters)?

Cannot comment on the JPS superconductor but a similarly TOTL DHC Prion is AMAZING with VC. I never heard a bigger improvement from a cable upgrade. Super nice synergy and the bass tightens up like a middle aged mama wearing spanx.

Burson is a capital soundstage, tube is magic and pleasure . I also had a flux a10 and the soundstage was similar but with warmer color.
Many people like verite with tube and you should also consider this direction
On the burson I was bothered by the offset midrange, and on every amp after it, I miss that wide stage.

Thanks! I also have a Darkvoice OTL amp on the way. So I van choose between the 3XP and tubes.

I can confirm. The VC sounds like absolute crap with perf pads. Bought those before buying the VC (had my eye on Aeolus first), and tried them once. Really sucked

The BE2 pads sound pretty good as well. But, they are a bit small for my large ears. My favorite pads for the VC are the Universe suede.

For me too, Universe are no1. Maybe solid lamskind Be2 or Verite are good too but i won't loose more money.
