I scheduled a pickup and got confirmation but tracking says it's still in pre-shipment. I've already escalated it twice so here's hoping.

So what are you referring to when you are talking about tracking etc? I must have missed something.

Not much on my end - final prototypes are in production and once done if everything goes smoothly I will open preorder.

The woods available most likely will be Cherry, Walnut and African Blackwood to start. Blackwood will be slightly more expensive, but not too much as the drivers are all modified the same way. Of course if African Blackwood sounds better is subjective.

Would it be a bit much to hope for a cocobolo option? =P

Oh! I meant for a couple sales that I made recently.
 
And I wouldn't hold my breath for cocobolo. If I recall correctly it's kind of toxic to work with for some people so people don't usually like working with it. I'd like to be wrong though because I love cocobolo.

One of my teachers got a really bad rash and cough from turning cocobolo and apparently it's not uncommon.

Yeah I'm stayin' away from that stuff.  When I used to build guitars I was dumb and didn't wear a mask while sanding a bunch of rosewood (I forget which kind), took me a month to get over that!    Cocobolo is seriously beautiful though, and at some point I should have the facility to handle any type of wood.  So I'll keep it in mind.

There will be upgrades, but not until I am actually shipping pre-orders (or after "official release," so they won't be available until the fall most likely.   Reason for this is to just make sure I can get the actual production process down with as little variation as possible before venturing into upgrades and I'll better know how to price the upgrades as well.

  I believe I said something along the lines of the Omni sounding like a semi-open LCD-3.  Very well done Zach!
 

  Warren Chi gave them a good listen and will be posting notes at some point.  The man has a good ear!

I am pretty stoked to hear these cans. I want to compare them to the blackwood. I have just upgraded my master to a blackwood because I missed it so.

Will have both proto's at the Chicago Head-fi meet this weekend, and will be organizing tours to take place in august when the production units are starting to roll out.  Excited for you guys to hear these!
