Odd, I have a completely different sound signature with my Prime. Are you sure it wasn't faulty one?

The guy I sold it to loved it, so I assume no. The FR graphs released by several sites showed what I heard from it. It has more linearity in the bass and the same upper-mids drop off as the Mad Dog with a more dramatic spike into the 10kHz range. I'd put it on par with the Alpha Dog (which I think is too boring,) but it is not anywhere near the grand they were asking for it (or the marked down price they're selling it for now.)

They became too fatiguing to me. I kept them for around three weeks with heavy use, but I juat couldn't come to love them. Had a backwards burn-in honestly.

Ahh, that's completely opposite with mine. I wasn't wowed by it considering my prior headphones were HE-400, ATH-500X, and HD598. Now, can't imagine listening music without it. The weird thing is I too am very treble sensitive, HE-400 being the worse out of my collection, but Alpha Prime was smooth for me all the way through the treble area. I was wondering if perhaps yours had a different configuration of Tuning Dots (black square dampening sticky pads). Honestly, from the way you're describing it, I would've guess it was an Alpha Dog because the mids and treble was a weak point for it.
 

 
Mine is has two placed on either side of the corner across diagonally. Maybe yours had none at all. Oh well, as long as its in a good home I guess.

I guess the Alpha Prime can't please everybody, I'm glad it did with me though.

Just a quick FYI, I only have one free Case/Cable combo left for the Omni.  After it's sold, I will add them for $40 (case) and $99 (cable) to be purchased with the headphone.  The Omni will remain $100 off through August though.

I found the Alpha Dog is a bit hot on the treble (fix it using doggy treats) but the Alpha prime with one dot is perfect for me. 

anyway, if the ZMF is good, I will have a hard time consider which one to sell, right now, what I think to be my perfect set up is my Beyer T1 and Alpha Prime...I really dont want to be hoarding too many HP.
