This is what I would called "Smokey and Manly", definitely a great looking Verite!

I still haven’t decided on a DAC upgrade and I can’t seem to find any TT2’s in my budget. Does anyone have a recommendation for a really good DAC that pairs well with VC and AC for under $3k? Sorry for asking again

Long time TT2 owner here (sold it already though). If I were in the $3K DAC market, I would give a serious consideration to Cen Grand Dsdac Superclock. Kind of natural, smooth, fluid sounding dac, with expansive soundstage and not as "thick" as typical R2R DAC.

I've tried Ferrum Wandla, compared it to Dsdac Superclock and Rockna Wavedream. Wandla sounds ok, clean, linear, some filters for fun experiment, but overall, it sounds like just another ESS Dac for me. Definitely not comparable to the "lively and organic" Rockna Wavedream or to "smooth and expansive" sounding of Cen Grand.

I plan to soon once I get a good camera setup. I have the cameras, but not the staging area to do it in. I want to do a ZMF-style photoshoot with them all so people can really see the details. It will take a while, but I do plan on doing it. The phone camera pictures just don't do them justice, and that isn't fair to ZMF who put so much time and effort making them look like they do.

I have a large lightbox, but its at my downtown office and I'd have to snag it for a bit.

The only thing missing is something from the Vex, Oryx and the Geist optic would be cool - a bright blue as an eye on a closed version in the centre.
Or the Auteur grill in blue with a slight shading where you can see that it represents the ghost.

I will take more photos soon, but the Sirmilik aka Banff 2 is here. It has a purple/blue hue and I like the rocky vibe with orange lava spots. Grills are white gold.

Please keep me posted on the comparisons between the May and the Wandla. Even though I am certainly not getting a May now, I *may* in the future and it would be good to have something close to it in performance (namely, Spring 3) and tonality.

I'll also have to take my last statement back, I think I love the colours of these more than the 'Solar', but they'll go great next to each other.
