Thanks Zach. I trust your instincts and ears , which is why I bought the Verite open from you. I will be contacting Godfinch Acoustics as soon as its available there, So that I can give these pads a shot. Beautiful workmanship on the pads as always, which is to be expected from you.Dealers will be able to buy them soon. We have Goldfinch Acoustics in India.
Our website does calculate actual international shipping prices, so if shipping rates come down the cost on our site will follow in real time.
Cheers

I don't like either of the earpads I have for my MrSpeakers/DCA Ether 2 headphones. They are both made of synthetic materials and feel and comfort is not good (for me) - which is a pity because the headphones are excellent.
I recently tried some ZMF lamb skin perforated Universe pads on the Ether 2s which sound and feel fantastic. I think they have breathed a little more 'zing' into the Ether 2s making them sound a bit quicker and more 'alive'. The sound has remained very linear and they possibly increase the soundstage slightly. I made the change for comfort/feel reasons and was pleasantly surprised that I actually enjoy the sound more than I did using the faux suede pads.
Only problem is that the ZMF pads are just a little too big and don't quite fit inside the recess and so have a tendency to come unstuck. They are very much a DIY solution at the moment.
I have a pair of VCs and Auteurs as well as my Ether 2s and I honestly can't decide which are my favourites. But just at the moment, the Ether 2s with ZMF earpads are getting the most head time.
Zach, I'd love it if you could have a go at making some pads for the Ether 2s to save me having to faff around with a half-baked DIY solution.

My 6XX stock pads are due for replacement but I have never been that stoked on the comfort (lack of breathability) of faux leather. I might give them a go regardless!
Anyway, thanks for sharing and discussing, everyone!

With full size openings, I wonder how these would work for Joe Grado's HP headphones which were designed for the flat pads? It would seem your ear could be even closer than with the flat pads.

ZMF pads are incredible. I wish I could mentally justify purchasing $70 pads for my $220 Drop 6xx.
