Apparantely CC synergise really well with my set up (I thought they gonna become too warm and thick): Cen Grand Deluxe, Feliks Envy Performance, Ray Reserve 300B + RCA VT-231 Grey Glass, with Caldera Protein Thin Earpad.
Velvety character, plenty of meat on the bone, with wet and romantic vocal, but at the same time all notes still clean and micro texture from insturments still easily heard. I like how thin pad bring more focus to midrange area, and "clean" some veil from hybrid pad.
Got some very special synergy going on over here right now too, with my Aegis and newly acquired pair of EL51 power tubes. Staging is open and airy, with good punch and weight down low, and a very involving midrange and smooth highs. I am addicted!
The Caldera Closed with a good tube amp and tubes, can be magical.
